So, as a lot of you know by now, I’ve recently come out as a trans man, which has been wonderful. I spent nearly two decades hiding from myself, and this is the first time in my life I’ve ever felt truly comfortable in my own skin. Not just comfortable, but happy.
The downside to this though is that it is very expensive to transition, even just socially. Before I came out, I dressed and presented extremely feminine, because I was repressing my masculinity as hard as I could. I do not own even a single item of gender neutral clothing or shoes. And that doesn’t even begin to cover things like hormones, let alone surgery or having a legal name change.
I have a hard time asking for help, but the fact of the matter is that I don’t have much money. I don’t have insurance, and I am effectively starting my life over from scratch. I cannot even afford the doctor’s visit to begin hormone therapy. Because of this, I have set up a Ko-fi. Any donations would be massively appreciated, and if you donate at least $15USD, I would be more than happy to draw you a sketch of any character you like, your courier or other OC, anybody.

Even if you can’t afford to donate, reblogging this, or even just a kind word, would mean the world to me. Thank you for taking the time to read this <3
Let’s appreciate that Venom is willing to handle and go near fire, a canonical weakness of Symbiotes, just for something as mundane as making breakfast for Eddie- For who knows how many mornings?! Literally keeping Eddie fed and content for a morning is justification enough to handle one of his only weaknesses- It’s a kind gesture but not THAT grand a gesture, but it’s kind to Eddie regardless so it’s worth it for Venom! Not even saving Eddie’s life, it’s just a small little favor and token of appreciation that he doesn’t HAVE to do and isn’t at all necessary for Eddie’s Together Breakfast, not when there’s already so many other components, but he insists on it anyway!
And obviously the fire isn’t intentional and it’s the result of Venom’s learning curve in cooking. But he’s still willing to risk it and not bat an eye. And hell engaging with human culture and cuisine has helped Venom be accustomed to stuff like fire in a household life. So being with Eddie has clearly enriched Venom’s appreciation for life and certain things, for stuff like music... Finding a beauty in something as horrible as fire through its cooking applications, something connected to noise and frequencies by singing songs- And finding beauty in a filthy planet thanks to a certain human! Venom has gained a newfound, almost introspective ability to sit back and appreciate things, to find the good in them, and I think that’s a huge part of his character in fact, and how he becomes determined to protect others in his own messy, endearing, and brutal sort of way.
They’re back baby🖤
