Leo - The Curse of Mirrors
The personality developed in the proceeding 4 signs. Aries animated her, Taurus styled her, Gemini started thinking, and Cancer started feeling. And finally there was Leo, with nothing left to do but put these qualities on grand display, to be a showcase of these fine human characteristics and cosmic symphonies. So the stage is set in Leo, the audience is waiting in anticipation, and she craves their applause more than anybody realises. But here we have the ego, so it only goes that there is something left open and hollow. The Leo can be so whipped by the crack of the ego that it can be absolutely impossible to accept criticism or failure. The Leo seeks out validation, because love and affection from other people act as a source of nourishment. She needs credit for playing her role with prestige, sometimes openly, and sometimes secretly. These words of acclaim liven her heart and energise her spirit. But this can be fleeting, and only for only a moment. The ego is always flocking close by, waiting to whisper its discouragement or dissatisfaction, hovering with poisonous thoughts that are sure to contaminate any sort of praise she received. And this can be why it seems like she always seeks validation, it’s because she’s never allowed to keep hold of it. She is a figure of honour, pride, and joyful creativity. She could stand in the mirror and see a glowing success story, only for a moment before a cowardly lion reflected back at her. The coward is actually her ego, its sensitivity is so raw that it causes the Leo to bleed profusely at slight touches of pain, betrayal, or heartbreak. This is because the ego in Leo is so developed that it fools them into believing nothing else exists. She can identify so intimately with this ego that she avoids the divine and the divine in her altogether, the word ego taken apart reading ‘escape god’. Her purest creativity is godly in the most elevated sense. It is a direction extension of heaven. But there is a battle here, it’s for her very self. The self that is held so highly in love, spirit, and grace by sun, stars, and gods worshiped amongst immortals. The Leo life is a performance, but this isn’t always on a striking stage, it can be in her own bedroom with the lights off, huddled up beside her bed feeling her whole conduct of life to be fake and out of vibration. This is a Leo that can become very self contemptuous, wounded, isolating, and obsessed with being unlovable, an empty closet of masks and masquerades. She is a honeycomb cavern of solar light and the frequency of love. Her heart is powerful enough to revitalise someones spirit, silence suffering, and shatter the laws of physics. All her heart has to believe is that she is enough.
