“Yeah but people are lazy. Sadly I think being safe is less important to some people than not having to do anything.” Aaron replied with a small shrug. People loved to do nothing.
“Yeah, my mom recently got one of those hoovers that hoovers the floor for you.” He chuckled a little under his breath, “I guess creating shit to give people another excuse not to do anything is the way to go about it.”

“It seems like a lot of accidents waiting to happed. Especially if some people have them and others don’t. Sometimes science has gone a little too far.” Aaron replied, agreeing with the man.
“Yeah that is what I am thinking as well, and like a car is such a powerful tool if you think about it as they do tend to run rather high in speed and such.” He said with a shrug.
theaaronburke:
“The thing that scares me the most is how many self-driving cars there are going to be in the next few years.” Aaron replied, not trusting those cars to not make errors. “That is the case for a lot of people.”
“Yeah, I personally don’t believe in self driven cars. Like realistically if isn’t a good idea. I mean, I just can’t see how it can be considered safe.” He told him with a shrug.

“So the colors will need to match up?” Eyes stayed focused as she watched, knowing that she needed to learn this. She was on her own in a town where she didn’t know many people. She really needed to learn these things in case she had no one. “Oh, it better. I don’t like leaving my car on the street unless I really have no choice.”
“It is like any other battery. + needs to go on + and - on -.” He told her, “Just make sure you put the + cable on last if not it ruin the battery or something like that.” He said as he just used to doing it out of habit at this point. “Okay, try starting it now?”

“Yeah fair enough. Computers seem to be putting a lot of people out of jobs unfortunately.” Aaron replied knowing that society was always changing that way. It wasn’t all for the best. “Which is pretty annoying if you ask me. I like to live in the moment.”
“That is where the world is headed unfortunately.” He sighed, “I get el cars and shit, but like the others would be a bit more hard to fix remotely.” He said with a shrug. “That must be nice. I am just a creature of habit so I rarely step out of my comfort zone.”

“I guess that is fair. It’s going to be a long time before science perfects a robot that can do all cars.” Aaron replied knowing that cars were probably like everything else, where each one was different. “That is true too I guess. People love to spend so much time capturing moments that they forget to live them.”
“Yeah I actually hope that day never comes, because not everyone is skilled at engineering and shit like that, so people who maybe don’t want to go to college need something to fall back on..” He shrugged. “Yeah and then whenever they tell you about it they just pull out their phones and show you videos and such but I am like.. But did you actually experience it? You know?”
theaaronburke:
“I am sure it’s only a matter of time. Don’t they do some surgeries remotely now?” Aaron asked, feeling like he’d read that somewhere. Technology had come so far even within the last couple of years. “Pretty soon most people will never have to leave their houses.”
Carter nodded, “On some models, but most people in town can’t really afford anything to fancy or they have their old vintage cars.” He added with a shrug. “Yeah, except for when traveling but even then people usually live through the camera on their mobile phone.”

She gave a small tilt of her head. Didn’t know if it was a lucky thing yet since there’s still so much to deal with. But at least the worst part was over. “Okay. Sorry, my dad left the whole jumping the car part out. At least he told me what it would be like if it died. He gets half credit.” The redhead went into her own car, popping the hood open for him to hook the cables up.
Carter snickered at her comment, “That is fair enough, honestly.” He said with a shrug, “It isn’t super hard, you just need to make sure you use the right cable on the right pole.” He said holding them up as he demonstrated how to do it after she had opened the hood, “Now we just wait a little to let it charge. Hopefully it’ll work.”

“I really do love staying home after a long day of work, but If I have one more night of Netflix and chill alone I might cry.” Alyssia joke, chuckling softly as she lifted her head to look at the other person. She didn’t mind her own company and a night inside, but she also missed seeing people and having a good time like she used to. Although she was exhausted to go out most nights or days off, she needed it for her mental health’s sake. “What are you up to?” She asked them curiously, playfully narrowing her eyes.”Please, say you’re up to something fun and I can tag along.” @ashtontnhqstarter
Carter let his eyes wander over to the female seated next to him as he licked the access salt of his fingers from his fries before sipping off his beer. “Right now I am eating..” He said with a slight smirk, pointing to the plate in front of him before he shrugged at her following words, “I mean, I guess that depends on what your definition of fun is.” He said, “I have been told I am rather boring.”

“See, I can work my job from anywhere really. That is one of the main perks about it.” Aaron replied loving that he wasn’t tied to any one place for longer than he wanted to be. “I could pick up and leave tomorrow if it wasn’t for school.”
“Yeah I don’t think fixing cars remotely works to be honest. Maybe one day, but for now I need ot drag my ass down to the shop every day and sort out whatever issue there is.” He chuckled back at him, taking the beer he had ordered in between his fingers and taking a long sip of it once it was served.

“I’ll be here for at least the next few years. After that I’ll decide if I want to stay, or if I want to take off to somewhere new.” Aaron replied knowing he planned to stick here until he finished college at the very least.
“That is fair enough. If I wasn’t already committed to my work I would have left a long time ago.” He shrugged as he knew the circumstances hadn’t allowed for it at the time, but things had changed and packing up to leave was getting more and more tempting everyday.

“No I want to be the one that designs them. Not just regular buildings but the big fancy ones you see in cities.” Aaron explained knowing there was a lot of math and such that went into that sort of thing.
“Ah right, that is fair enough then I guess.” He nodded back at him, “I guess if you want to stick around in Ashton the long term the town is constantly expanding.”

“I mean at the moment I am just kind of finishing my degree as a backup plan. But I used to want to design buildings.” Aaron explained knowing he found that stuff interesting. “That makes two of us.”
“So like, construct them and stuff, right?” He asked, “’Cus you are not like an arcitect.” He added even though he wasn’t sure how it all worked out in the long run, regardless it must be more interesting than what he was doing.
theaaronburke:
“Fair enough. I’m a engineering student. We aren’t known for being the rowdiest bunch.” Aaron replied with a small chuckle. Most of his classmates seemed to take school seriously. “I guess I’ll have to go there next time I am looking for some fun.”
“Engineering huh?” He said, “What type of job are you looking into doing with that degree?” He added out of curiosity. “Yeah you should! I used ot go there a lot but I don’t really go out much anymore. I work too much.”

“Yeah, that’s what I’ve heard. Things seem to be looking up now though. Slowly, but still,” she gave a small nod in thought. Granted she came in during the middle of everything, but things seem to be getting back to what she expected from a small town. “It should. But, my dad didn’t go that far into teaching me things. I just know what to look for, but not what to actually do.” She didn’t really know if that made any sense when she thought about it. “Okay, so what do I do?”
“Yeah.. Luckily.” He nodded back at her. He was still in disbelief that it had been one of his closest childhood friends who had been behind it all. He nodded back at her, “Well if you could just open the hood, then I’ll plug the cables in and we can try and jump start it after a little while.” He said as he went to the back to get the cables out.

“Maybe it’s more that I just don’t get invited to a lot of the parties then. I guess all the twenty-one year olds think I am too old for their fun.” Aaron replied with a small shrug.
Carter shrugged, “Either that, or maybe you just don’t hang out with the right crowd.” He responded with a slight laugh. “But usually things are going down at Liquid and stuff. I have been there once or twice myself.” He told him with a shrug.

“I don’t even know what kind of trouble you can get into in Ashton. There doesn’t seem to be much happening most weekends.” Aaron replied with a small shrug. It was a pretty small town.
“No?” He grinned, “I mean, it depends. I used to get into a fair share myself, but these days I am a bit surprised to hear that as there are college kids and such in town.” He added with a shrug.
