Garrick was just finishing up in the gym, igoring the women that were flirting with him and he looks at the person who came in and nods at them. "You ready to train today?" @ggstarterblog

"I'm always ready to train." Cassian looked at Garrick with a smile. "Besides, I hate just sitting around and doing nothing."

"Run from you? Why would anyone run from you?" She asked. "Grace, it's nice to meet you, Cassian."

"Because I'm extremely tall and bulky and a lot of people find that scary." Cassian chuckled. "Well, except for Nesta, that woman will challenge a giant if wanted to."

Pushing himself away from his desk, he grabbed his jacket from the back of his chair and headed toward the door, stopping beside him. "A new witness came forward in my father's case." He told him and smiled. "It's still early and I've learned not to celebrate too soon but... it's the most promising lead I've had in years." He said before stepping out with his friend. "Anyway, enough about me. What are you in the mood for?"

"That is really awesome." Cassian said with a smile. "I'm sure that everything will fall into place." He added and nods. "I am down for whatever." He added. "I like to eat."

The detective squad room was quieter than usual, save for the occasional ringing phone and the hum of conversations from nearby desks. "We have a new witness? That's great news, Chief. I'll stop by as soon as possible. Thank you." Ren set down the phone on his desk and took a moment to process what he'd just heard. A new witness had come forward regarding his father's alleged crime. For the first time in a long while, he felt hopeful.

He was sending a text to his mom when he heard the door to his office open. Looking up from his phone, he broke into a bright smile. "Oh, hey. You're here." He slipped his phone into his pocket and stood from his chair. "Sorry, just give me a second to clock out, then we can go grab lunch. My treat." He said with a rare grin on his face. "I actually have something to celebrate." @ggstarterblog

"Do I get to know why we are celebrating or no?"

"Okay, this is...this is overwhelming." Grace said to herself with a laugh as she stood in Times Square. She was walking around the city and trying to get used to where she'd be living from now on. It was a change from Massachusettes to here, but change was something she was used to, and it wasn't something she couldn't handle.

Turning around as she saw something that caught her eyes, she ran into someone and took a step back. "I am so sorry." She apologized. @ggstarterblog

"You don't need to apologize." Cassian promised her. "I'm a big guy, people either run from me or run into me. There is no in between." He chuckled and looked at her. "I'm Cassian." He introduced himself.

It had been a few weeks since her secret had been revelaed and honesstly, she didn't care. She felt more free than she had in a long time. She was sitting at a cafe and reading a book when someone came up to her and sat down across from her. "Uh, hi." She said and looked at them. "How are you?" @ggstarterblog

"I could be doing worse, but I've actually been through worse, so I'm not gonna complain." He shrugged. "How are you doing?"

" Yeah, I felt them surge over yesterday. I scared myself and I'm pretty sure I scared the guy in front of me." she shrugged.

Cassian laughed. "Hey, sometimes people just need a good scare." He shrugged.

"I have a love/hate relationship with all the promos I get to do for all my upcoming projects, but I am so tired right now, I just want to sleep for a week." @ggstarterblog

"How many projects do you have coming out?" He raised a brow. "Can you not sleep while doing your promo?"

"so my parents were over my house this weekend and my mom brought a box of some of my childhood stuff, this woman, brought my entire american doll girl collection. when i tell you, i felt like i was five again, it was such a fun feeling." esme laughed. Cassian raised a brow and looked at Meave. "It was pretty dull." He shrugged. "I really didn't do much besides work out and try to lay low from this bitch called Gossip Girl."

"Because I feel weak sometimes and I want to be able to protect Skylar, I know I won't always win, but I want to be trained."

"You know there is nothing wrong with feeling that way, right? Everyone has a weakness." Cassian said and looked at the much younger male. "I will train you though, I think it's noble you want to be able to protect the woman that you love."

"Because you're a fairy...fae, whatever the hell you want to call yourself and I figured he might have confinded in you and two, why would you tell me that? I would never judge Sterling."

Cassian laughed. "An Illyrian Fae, but not all of us are...intertwined or related like that." He told Briar. "Maybe Sterling is dealing with a lot of it that he just doesn't know how to communicate with it to you about."

"i'm glad to see you too." mor smiled and returned the hug. she let go of him and her smile grew. "about everything? cassian, we're in a world that is vastly different from ours in like a million different ways, but i can't actually complain, i think i'm adjusting well here. how about you?"

"You're adjusted well here?" He raised a brow at her. "You don't miss Velaris or some at all?" He asked.

sofia nodded as she listened to cassian. "i just...i thought coming to new york was going to be a good espace, but i feel like i was wrong, but i love my life here and i don't want my life to be dictated by my ex fiance and his life."

"Well why do you feel like you were wrong? Is it just because of your ex being here? If that's so, then you shouldn't let an ex ruin the life you have built."
