Katherine took a small step back and looked at Grace. Of course she was human, and she seemed stressed, or at least from what Katherine could sense, she did. "It's all good, no harm, no foul." She promised. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, yeah, like you said, no harm, no foul." Grace said to her with a small smile. "Uh, I'm Grace, by the way." She introduced herself to the other woman.
"No worries, it's all good. I'm used to bumping into people at this point. Are you okay?" Robin asked her as she picked up her shopping bag full of books about supernatural beings that are rumored to be seen in the city. She was looking into them for her podcast and so that she can protect herself against them. "Uh hi, I'm Robin by the way. You must be new here. To be fair, I was also new to NYC one or two months ago. I'm starting to get used to the hustle and bustle. Still miss home but it's not all bad."
"I'm okay, yeah." She nodded and looked at Robin. "I'm Grace, it's nice to meet you. Ive been in cities before, but just not like this before. Manhattan is very different from Paris or Boston."
If there was one thing Sloane hated about living in Manhattan, it was how densley packed it was, she knew Basgiath was packed, but not like this. This place could fit all of Navarre if it wanted to, and some days, it felt like everyone from The Continet was there. She was walking around, in a hurry, and not paying attention to where she was going, when someone ran into her and she took several steps back.
She had to remind herself that she was not as Basgiath and was not in the middle of a war against Dark Weilders. She was in a new world, where she was somewhat safer. When she heard Grace's voice, she exhaled and looked at Grace. "You don't need to apologize." She promised her.
"Seriously, I should be asking you, are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." She promised Sloane with a smile and looked around and then at the other woman. "It's just...Manhattan is a whole different world from what Paris and even Massachusetts is."
Logan was too busy reading on gossip girl. What had he turned into? Someone who doesn’t care much about rumors, not like this — Had all of sudden turned into the kind of person who got curious. He tried to read what was written about himself and his friends. Trying to understand how she found out about these things, and what she meant.
“What is—” his words were cut off when another person ran into him. He shouldn’t stand almost in the way, there most people walked. He looked up. The minute he recognized her face, he smiled “Hey. Ah, no worries. Can happen” John said “Grace, right?” If he didn’t get her name right, it’d be embarrassing. Barely remembered everyone’s name. But her name he remember.
She smiled as she realized who she had run in to and her cheeks turned pink a bit. "Yeah, Grace, you're John Logan." She said with another smile and moved some hair behind her ear. "Are you overwhelmed with being in Times Square or is that just me?" She asked him with a shy laugh. What was she doing? She wasn't someone to just flirt or get flustered easily, but there was something about John Logan that she liked. Not that she'd admit to it out right.
Clearing her throat, she looked around and then at him. "Are you at least liking Manhattan? Or, do you and your friends live in Manhattan or a different burough?"
"Okay, this is...this is overwhelming." Grace said to herself with a laugh as she stood in Times Square. She was walking around the city and trying to get used to where she'd be living from now on. It was a change from Massachusettes to here, but change was something she was used to, and it wasn't something she couldn't handle.
Turning around as she saw something that caught her eyes, she ran into someone and took a step back. "I am so sorry." She apologized. @ggstarterblog
