FRIENDS OR FOES
An immediate smile takes over your face,
But, is it from your heart?
Without much thought I reciprocate,
No, I even am unsure about mine.
Ā From deep within, I want to say,
We are friends not foes;
Yet, there still is a slight unrest,
Triggered by our past behind locked doors;
Ā Iāve cried, Iāve cringed and Iāve thrown a fit
For all those things you did.
And I also know youāve the done the same
As I have been no different.
Ā From afar my thoughts seem crystal clear, that we are friends not foes.
Yet the closer I come the murkier it gets and the answer is yet unknown.
And then I think, if I were your foe, would I be questioning so?
Would I not know my answer?
Ā This dilemma is taking me nowhere,
Itās just been a constant back and forth.
I leave this puzzle for time to solve,
I leave it to put my mind to rest.
