Crippling darkness, an empty heart and a wounded soul,
Pain so ahead of all, that you cannot see its threshold.
A crushing feeling, like the weight of the world is on your shoulder,
And you finally succumb to the pressure.
Hiding in a corner, cowering from reality,
Feeling sorry for yourself and blaming world's brutality,
You say what's holding you back is people's cruelty,
The truth is you have fallen in the trap of self pity.
Try to get yourself off the bed,
Shatter all the voices in your head,
Tear away the past and burn each shred.
At the end of every dark tunnel there is light,
But to get there, with the demons inside you need to fight,
One step forward and then two, your only ally is your might.
Step out of the tunnel and feel the warmth of life overpower all else,
When you look back, all that is left would be the past in broken shells.
