Kiara’s life was a typical kids life. She was raised in Illinois until she was about Ten, when her dad was offered a job transfer. Her mom had quit her daycare job and her,her mom and her two little brother, packed up and left for Santa Monica, California and Kiara was thrilled about it. Even though she would miss her life back home. By the time Kiara was Twelve, She has another sibling. A beautiful little girl named Alaina. She adored her little sister deeply and always helped her mom out with her and the boys, which brought her and her mother extremely close. Things seemed to be going amazingly well, they were well.
About another year later tragedy struck. Kiara her mom and her sister were coming back from the store, getting things for a visit from a few of Kiara’s Aunts and Uncles. One second Kiara and her mom were laughing about plans they were making for the evening, the next Kiara was crawling out of her seat to try and make sure her sister was okay. She had called 911 from her moms phone and they instantly rushed to them, calling her mothers death on the scene. The next morning her sister hadn’t made it out of the hospital. The story had hit on the news and she refused to be questioned. Although it broke her to pieces, she stayed strong for her brothers sake.
After the tragic loss her family had, her father had stopped taking as many days off and agreed to overtime, even though his kids needed him. It wasn’t long before he started taking bussiness trips and he rarely ever home at all. For a while, her aunts and uncles would take turns staying with them to help Kiara take care of her brothers as well as herself. It didn’t take long for her to realized she was the head of the house now and it was time to step up.
After a year of the neglect her father showed to his children, Kiara has enough. Did she want to get torn away from her only parent she had left? No. But, she knew she was only a child herself, and couldn’t continue to try and be the adult that was expected of her without help. That was when her youngest uncle, Toby, but his foot down, taking his niece and nephews to find refuge in him, with him with no fight from his brother. Kiara’s father was actually happy his brother took them. It was one less burden’ for him. Still, as she packed her bags to move in with Toby (Who Moved to Santa Monica so the kids wouldn’t have to switch schools), she vowed to herself her brothers would never be without her as long as she could help it. She carried on with her life, taking care of her brothers Trying to keep things as normal as she could.
Now time has passed, and ever since she left for college she still resides in Santa Monica. The best part is having family in the Town and surprisingly her younger brothers still in the area, living with their uncle. Kiara found herself an amazing job, teaching music to kids. Something she’s proud to do, she feels she can honor the memory of her mother daily showing her kids the joy her mother did for her. She’s got herself her own apartment, and making a better life for herself.
