I have added a new pattern to my shop! The mermaid hat up top!
You can check out the mermaid hat pattern here.
Of course I have several other nerdy patterns as well! You can check out my patterns here.
SO BEAUTIFUL!
This is what happens when science and knitting collide…
What happens when you ask knitters to craft bacteria and viruses for ‘science’?
The result - accurate* knitted depictions of some of the world’s most fearsome bugs, adorned with pom poms, glitter and googly eyes.
Here are our some of our knitted nasties - and trust me, they’re much more deadlier than they look.
*Not entirely
The bugs were created for BBSRC’s Knit-a-bug competition, as part of the Great British Bioscience Festival in November 2014.
To see all our knitted bugs and bacteria view our BuzzFeed post: This is What Happens When Science and Knitting Collide.

Life goal.
The Ono Shawl is now live on Ravelry! This is an asymmetrical triangular shawl knit from tip to edge. It includes simple stripes and intarsia. The intarsia is simple as well, but if you’re a new comer to this color technique or want a brush up on how to work intarsia over garter stitch, I’ve got tutorials on my website to help you! You can get the pattern and view my test knitters’ work on this shawl here! [x]
At some point in life the world’s beauty becomes enough. You don’t need to photograph, paint, or even remember it. It is enough.
