Just like old times || Lamber
Amber grinned at the small compliment. Coming from the Personification of Rage made that itty bitty compliment that much more meaningful. “Shh it might get jealous if it hears you, but yes I am pretty darn lovable.” She whispered loudly and flashed a cheeky smile as she said the last part. Even if it sounded confident coming out of her mouth and in Amber’s voice, she didn’t truly believe it herself. It wasn’t that she was completely insecure or anything close to that, but the thought of never being enough for someone to actually love her always lingered on her mind. Her hair was dull, her eyes were plain, she hardly does anything exciting and she wasn’t good at anything useful. Her only talent was making hot cocoa and if that was the only thing people loved her for then it would be pretty depressing. She frowned, “You can’t tell me how delicious it was and tell me you didn’t bring any back for me. That’s cruel mom, I would always bring something back for you.” That is, if they even let her go on missions outside of the manor in the first place.
“Well you have a lot to make up for, I’ve been all lonely and bored here.” It wasn’t entirely true, the manor had lots of interesting things that kept her entertained on nights she couldn’t sleep. The problem with moving was having to find new hiding spots and Amber busied herself with that when there was nothing left to do. So far she hadn’t found one yet but that was going to change very soon. “Can we buy marshmallows too? The mini ones,” since that very rude person ate all of them too “and those jumbo ones!” Even after these two years Amber still loved her sweets all the same if not more. Plus, ever since she learnt how to work the fireplace she craved smores and just a perfectly roasted marshmallow. “I’ve always wanted to be a blow fish! It’s a dream come true!” She exlaimed and puffed her cheeks out as big as she could. She got up on her feet and grabbed Lizzie’s hands to pull the girl up too. “While we buy food let’s go shop too. My closet needs some loving I’ve neglected it for way too long.”
"Well you know how I love to make everyone jealous." She grinned. It was something that always flared up in her when she got something that someone else wanted. Lizzie laughed softly. "There was no time. I might as well fly us there. Or I can just order stuff online. It's on a website." She told her. "I'll make sure we get express shipping." Lizzie had the means, she always did. Despite even her confidence, she had insecurities like any other girl or woman of her time. Not that it had anything to do with how she looked. She was fully confident she looked appealing to both male and females. "That's what you get when you sign up with me. I kid. I don't do cruel and punishment unless you ask for it." Meaning, someone had to piss her off badly but that hadn't had happened lately. Even then she tried to calm herself down. It was hard when down to her fibre she was rage. She was always swirling with it. "I know you would, Curly Sue. I just didn't have time. The damn soldiers were pissing me off."
"I'll make it up. I promise. I always make everything up. Don't I?" She quickly countered back. She laughed softly. "Of course we can buy that. As much as you want okay? I know how much you love your coca. You Cocoa monster. Maybe your slogan should be Coca for hot cocoa." Making fun of the Cocoa puffs commerical. Lizzie got to her feet, bursting into laughter. "Well then you know people eat blow fish right." She teased knowing she wouldn't let anything happen to the younger girl. Not after Drew or anything. She knew what it was like to be left all alone and unaware if you'd hear anyone from anything. That came in the form of her mother. Hope Stuart. It was a roadtrip she would never forget for a various amount of reasons.
"Jeez. Do I look like an ATM?" She questioned but knew it wasn't a problem as she headed outside and towards her car. Lizzie figured she would use the Porsche, it seemed to be her go to car lately or maybe it's because she missed Zach. Not that she would let anyone know that. The brunette jumped in, glad that the convertible top was down. Lizzie slipped in the key, starting the engine. She let it warm up for a bit. "You are so lucky I have my wallet with me. Where do you want to go shopping?" She questioned, not sure where Amber would like to hit. Lizzie was all about the designer. The brunette smiled heading into the town and away from the manor.
