Oh Baby! | A Daddy Logan Drabble | Requested by henderswaglover
This drabble was requested by @henderswaglover Hope you enjoy this little Daddy Logan Drabble and I apologize for it being so late.
"Honey, please take a rest. I'll get dinner ready, you just sit and relax," your husband Logan kissed your cheek as he insisted you take it easy. You were 9 months pregnant with your soon-to-be little miracle. Though you've been through 5 pregnancies already, Logan didn't need any problems this close to your delivery. You kissed him and went to watch TV while dinner was being prepared.
You heard tiny footsteps bounding down the stairs, Barbie dolls and color-styling tools in hand. It was your two youngest, Queen and Jordan.
"Hi daddy!" they stood by the table, watching your husband tossing salad. He turned and smiled to see his little princesses.
"Hi girls. Listen...can you do daddy a big favor?" he whispered. Your daughters got close to Logan to see what he wanted.
"I need you to make sure that mommy is comfortable and relaxing. Don't have her move a muscle. I don't want her stressing too much for the baby. Now, can you do that for me?"
"Yes daddy!!" your daughters hugged Logan, then bolted towards you.
"Mommy! Are you comfy? Do you need anything to drink? Do you need me to change the channel for you? I can get you some blankets! Do you wanna help make Barbie's hair purple?" both your daughters bombarded you with a billion and one questions. You watched as Logan leaned against the doorway and chuckled to himself.
"Aww, babygirls!" you lifted them both up onto the couch and kissed their heads. "Thank you so much for caring for mommy, but I'm okay. I've been through this 5 times. Mommy's gonna be just fine," you smiled and kissed Jordan's nose.
The front door swung open, letting in your other 3 kids: your daughter Rebecca, and your oldest twin sons, Nathan and Mason.
"Hi mama," Rebecca dropped her bag, ran over to you and kissed your cheek and belly. "What's up kiddos? Are you bothering Mom?"
Queen quickly handed her dolls to Jordan and placed her hands on her hips, ready to tell off her older sister.
"It just so happens, Missss Henderson...that me and Jordan were called on an important mission by Daddy to take care of Mommy and our little baby brother. We were making sure that she was comfy, relaxed and didn't have to move a finger while she's resting," your 10 year old flipped her brown curly hair and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Wow Becca. I never thought the day would come where we see little Queen outsassing the queen of sass," Nathan ruffled Rebecca's hair, kissed you and gave Queen a huge high-five and hug. Rebecca stood in absolute shock and astonishment. Never had she though anyone could take her place as the sassmaster. I guess Queen was really getting ready to take the throne when Rebecca left for college.
"Uhm..guys? Hello?...HEY!!" Mason shouted above all the noise. Instantly, the house fell silent. "I don't mean to breakup this fantastic and memorable mark in Henderson family history, but dinner's ready. And mom? Dad said if you need a plate fixed, just ask."
You tugged off the blanket that Jordan had covered over you and kissed your son. "Thank you sweetheart, but like I said, I've been through this 5 times already. I'll be just fine."
You all took your places at the table; you and Logan and either end of the table, Nathan and Mason in between Jordan, and Rebecca and Queen side by side. Light chatter floated around the table, mainly about an upcoming school events, and the usual 4 way argument between the boys and the girls. Jordan didn't really care much about being apart of it, but she loved watching the action. She smiled at her older sisters smart remarks as she scooped pasta and corn onto her fork. You and Logan were quite used to it already and you both knew that trying to break it apart would do no good. You just smiled and sipped your drink.
"Baby, tell your father that I'm gonna use the bathroom," you told Jordan.
"Okay mommy!" she smiled as you left to go.
About half an hour had passed and you still hadn't returned. The kids were done with the major arguments. Now, it was basically just a couple mutters here and a few smart words there. Logan couldn't seem to think clearly.
"D..dad are you okay?" Rebecca asked, concerned.
Logan snapped from his gaze, "Yea..yea..I'm just...a little worried about the baby. that's all."
"Wow dad. I would really expect mom to be the one freaking out and panicking. Never knew it happened more to the father than the mother," Nathan said and dropped his fork. "Does that mean if I have a kid, I'm gonna be freaking out all the time?"
Mason and Rebecca giggled. Nathan was always the chillest person, so seeing him in a panicked state was too priceless. Logan joined in and patted his son on the back.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" everyone was started by the loud shriek of pain.
"MOM!!" Mason jumped from his seat and sprinted to the bathroom, followed by Logan. Mason ran back seconds later.
"Mom's in labour and her water just broke. Nathan, grab the suitcase from mom's room and put it in the car. Fast! Rebecca, get mom and dad's coat from the closet. Jordan and Queen, grab your jackets and get in the car!" Mason instructed.
"But I didn't finish!" Queen fussed.
"I'll buy you food from the hospital, just get in the car quickly Queen!" Mason yelled.
Logan and Mason guided you to the car, Nathan packed the suitcase in the trunk and helped the girls into the car and within minutes, Logan sped down to the hospital.
"Alright Mrs. Henderson, on this next contraction, I need you to push real hard for me! This baby is ready to come out and its not waiting any longer!" the doctor instructed. Everything seemed like a blur. It seemed like just seconds ago, you were enjoying a nice dinner with family and now, you're hooked up to IVs, sweat trickling down your face and tears of pain stinging the corners of your eyes.
Logan kissed your forehead as you squeezed the life out of his hand.
"Babygirl, you've done a great job so far. This is it. It's time for our little miracle to say hello to his new mommy and daddy. I just want you to know that I love you and I'm so proud of you. I couldn't have asked for a better wife or mother to our 5 kids and our soon-to-be 6th," he kissed you and you smiled.
"Alright, Mrs. Henderson, here we go. On 3, give me all you've got. Ready? 1, 2, push!"
With all your strength, you pushed. Your body was set on getting this baby out, but your mind wandered to your first birth, when Nathan and Mason entered the world and you thought that nothing so fragile, or delicate could be a living breathing child. It was the most amazing day of your life. Holding that little baby...
"BOY!" your mind snapped back to the doctor and the baby.
"Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Henderson! Here is your beautiful, bouncing, baby boy! We're gonna clean him off, and after that, he's all yours. Mrs. Henderson, you did a great job," the doctor smiled as he handed you the brand you bundle of life.
You cradled the little baby in your arms as he opened his big dark brown eye and crinkled his little nose.
"Hi, hi bub. I'm you daddy," Logan cooed
"And I'm your mommy," you sniffled and smiled
"So, have you guys thought of a name yet?" the nurse asked quietly, careful not to wake the baby.
"Yeah. We're gonna name him Logan Phillip Henderson Jr." you both smiled and craddle your new son.
"Thank you for making me a proud daddy of 6 beautiful, healthy children Anthi. I love you so much," Logan's soft lips touched yours and you knew then and there that your life was complete. The perfect family, with the newest little addition and the perfect husband. You could ask for nothing more in life. You were absolutely content.
