there are many facets to this that are absolutely filthy, but my personal favorite is Ticketmaster calling what is literally just them price gouging, “Platinum Seats” so that if you take screenshots and try and warn people of what’s going on, it looks like you’re complaining about the price of VIP tickets - when in fact they’re straight up nothing but Ticketmaster giving a fancy name to the decision that it wants to consume more of your money just because they felt like it

Seats like that were going for $370+ when I was shopping for LA, and the counter stopped at $399... is this happening in LA now, too? Can anyone confirm?

oh also BTW y’all. For night 1, I only just got through - and the prices of the 100 level had risen to over $400, the 200′s were at $350, and me and Kristin’s tickets for just a bit better than nosebleeds were the price of what floor seats cost at the beginning of this. Ticketmaster sees how long we’ve been waiting and is raising prices accordingly. and it’s. fucking. disgusting.

Is it possible that they raised the prices because of the days? I know Saturday night tickets tend to be more expensive than Friday night but this was based on my experience from buying rep tour tickets

I got in very early on Gillette Night 1. Nosebleeds were $50 and I got pit for $400. Someone just posted screenshots of that same night (now four hours later). Nosebleeds are now $400. It’s def Ticketmaster being disgusting :(

I waited 4 hours and by the time I got in the nosebleeds were almost $300 and i’d been monitoring the entire time on tumblr with people who were getting tickets and slowly watched as the prices rose higher and higher and by the time I got in I cannot afford a ticket now. I got floor seats for rep last year and now I can’t even go because of ticketmaster playing games and i’m livid and so devasted i’ve been crying for the last half hour. this shit needs to stop.
