ehh when she bought her masters she did say she would release debut tv at some point. if it doesn’t come out this year then she might just hold onto it until she has some non-music project she’s working on like her movie (whenever she eventually starts filming that) or something and drop it then.

I have a hard time imagining that it’s something she would want to do without a reason; she’s constantly working too much and putting out new things to have a back burner release that would ever genuinely make sense to come out imo. Even on its 30th anniversary or 25th, knowing her creative output I would think she would think those vocals were outdated etc and not want to release them unless there was a real reason (like re-records being an excuse for vault tracks, The Eras Tour being an excuse to drop AOTGYLB, etc)

Also - hot take but I genuinely don’t believe that movie is happening anymore. I think it was a foray into Joe’s world to mend parts of that relationship, and while I think it’s something that she did have genuine interest in, it was moreso because being in the spotlight / an artist seemed like a means to an end and she on some level felt a need to lay the footwork for an alternative as she “settled down”. Orbiting his planet dimming the shine etc. Post-Joever and Eras Tour success I just really don’t believe she’s interested in that anymore.

I don’t not think ts13 is next but I do think that if we don’t get Debut for its 20th anniversary, we’re not getting it. Plans might have changed but if we don’t get it for that I fear it is never coming
