"The Barracks"
Context: After reviewing sterile and redacted reports, Aircraft realizes that Shatterpoint’s true history is hidden where the officers never descend. He heads down to the lower decks of the Nemesis, into the barracks of the reconnaissance unit. The regular soldiers don't trust elite units, but Aircraft is willing to wait. He visits many times, and since he mostly just listened, at some point the soldiers began to understand him better. The only time he intervened in the conversation was when the soldiers started talking about the seekers.
They saw that Aircraft wasn't exactly a typical officer, so they began to take a friendly liking to him. Amid the drunken tales and grievances, Aircraft catches snippets of information that shatter the myth of the "good field medic."
Investigation Objectives:
Objective 1: Find a time discrepancy between the witness's death report and their last recorded movement.
Objective 2: Confirm the fact that Shatterpoint and the gladiator Lowr were co-located in the same area before the start of the war.
INTERNAL SYSTEM LOG [UNIT: AIRCRAFT] FILE: REC_44.12.05-06_BARRACKS_ENTRY OPERATION: Unofficial raw data collection LOCATION: Lower decks of the "Nemesis", reconnaissance unit sector STATUS: Thought logging, audio signal registration, and environmental analysis
DAY 1 (Date: 44.12.05)
[INTERNAL MONOLOGUE / ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS]: "The soldiers—the units of this place—look quite uncomfortable around me. It seems they won't talk to me about anything, so I just come by for a couple of days and listen to their conversations."
DAY 2 (Date: 44.12.06)
[INTERNAL MONOLOGUE / SITUATION ASSESSMENT]: "After some time, they include me in the conversation anyway. I'm not sure if I can keep up a conversation with them, but I continue recording."
[DIALOGUE REGISTRATION START]
[Voice Signature 1 / Class: Stormtrooper]: "Yo, are you just gonna sit there? You do realize none of us like that you're here."
[Unit: Aircraft]: "...."
[Voice Signature 2 / Class: Scout (lowered amplitude, whispering)]: "Shh! You know he's one of the officers... of course, he's from a completely different world! You can't just call him out like that!"
[Voice Signature 3 / Class: Artillerist]: "Then what is this 'big guy' even doing here?! What do you want?"
[Voice Signature 1 / Class: Stormtrooper]: "If you want to talk to us or find out something so badly, you should order it, or go to our superiors... not whatever it is you're doing right now."
[Unit: Aircraft]: "I understand, but bureaucracy erases a lot of information and censors everything. I wanted to hear it directly from the source." [DIALOGUE REGISTRATION END]
[INTERNAL MONOLOGUE / SUMMARY]: "After that, they stopped nagging me and went back to talking to each other, ignoring me. But as I listened to their conversations over time, I realized something: I was actually quite isolated from this type of communication. The bots here were more open, completely unlike the officer corps. My entire life, I have only interacted with either superiors or my creators. Though, there was something similar with the seekers..."
INTERNAL SYSTEM LOG [UNIT: AIRCRAFT] FILE: REC_44.12.07_BARRACKS_ICEBREAKER OPERATION: Unofficial raw data collection LOCATION: Lower decks of the "Nemesis", reconnaissance unit sector STATUS: Thought logging, audio signal registration, and environmental analysis
DAY 3 (Date: 44.12.07)
[DIALOGUE REGISTRATION START]
[Voice Signature 1 / Class: Stormtrooper]: "So, how is it?"
[Unit: Aircraft]: "Hm?"
[Internal Monologue / Analysis]: > Unexpected question. Why? Registering a change in the subjects' behavioral tactics.
[Voice Signature 1 / Class: Stormtrooper]: "Well, what's it like working with the seeker armada? I heard Starscream is quite the upstart."
[Voice Signature 2 / Class: Scout]: "They're all pretty 'interesting,' aren't they? Almost all seekers are high-tier soldiers. Way more elegant than us, ahahahaha."
[Voice Signature 3 / Class: Artillerist]: "Though out of all the seekers, you don't look elegant at all, big guy."
[Unit: Aircraft]: "Upon my activation, Starscream said I look like a flying barge."
[Acoustic Monitoring]: [ . . . . . ] (Pause. Background noise level decreased by 12 dB)
[Voice Signatures 1, 2, 3, 4 / Collective Reaction]: "AHAHHAHAHA!"
[Internal Monologue / Analysis]: > Somewhat shocked by the loud laughter. However, according to system assessment, this defused the tension. Other soldiers have also moved toward the conversation's coordinate point.
[Voice Signature 4 / Identification: Recon Private]: "No wonder you escape down here after work!"
[Voice Signature 1 / Class: Stormtrooper]: "Starscream seriously growls even at his own guys."
[Voice Signature 2 / Class: Scout]: "Tell us more about that!" [DIALOGUE REGISTRATION END]
[INTERNAL MONOLOGUE / SUMMARY]: "This time, the communication became more open. It seems I am getting somewhere. Unfortunately, time flew by quickly because I spent a lot of it talking about my colleagues… perhaps a bit too much."
INTERNAL SYSTEM LOG [UNIT: AIRCRAFT] FILE: REC_44.12.08_BARRACKS_SECRETS OPERATION: Unofficial raw data collection LOCATION: Lower decks of the "Nemesis", reconnaissance unit sector STATUS: Thought logging, audio signal registration, and environmental analysis
DAY 4 (Date: 44.12.08)
[INTERNAL MONOLOGUE / ANALYSIS]: "My status in this sector has changed. My presence no longer triggers aggression or the blocking of communication channels by the rank-and-file personnel. The subjects conduct conversations in my presence, ignoring the operation of my recording systems. Trust level: sufficient for the collection of unmodified data."
[DIALOGUE REGISTRATION START]
[Voice Signature 1 / Class: Stormtrooper]: "Listen, Big Guy, do you actually know your Doc? You know, Shatterpoint. He's like a big shot over at Shockwave's place now, sitting in a sterile lab, clean manipulators..."
[Unit: Aircraft]: "He is my Creator. Official personnel records describe him as a former field medic of the Third Reconnaissance Corps."
[Voice Signature 2 / Class: Scout]: "Field medic, yeah, right... He was always way too smart for just welding together shredded scrap metal. You guys remember Cleaver?"
[Voice Signature 1 / Class: Stormtrooper]: "Oh, Cleaver. Soundwave closed his file after that pointless raid near Iacon. They wrote down — deactivated 41.05.05, chassis not recovered due to heavy Autobot fire."
[Voice Signature 3 / Class: Artillerist]: "Deactivation my exhaust port! I saw Cleaver crawl back into our tech bay myself three days later, right on 41.05.08. Oil was leaking out of him, his manipulators were shaking like he'd been shocked straight through his spark. He was screaming that the Doc kept him in some underground lab in the abandoned sectors and was messing around in his processor, with jars of someone's live optical sensors sitting all around... And then Cleaver just vanished. Doc said his neurolink fried from shock and drove him away somewhere himself."
Document No. 2.2 (Official Report): Deactivation of Unit Cleaver — 41.05.05.
Eyewitness Testimony: Visual contact with Unit Cleaver — 41.05.08.
Discrepancy: 3 days.
Keywords for analyzing the Creator's past: [Underground laboratory], [Processor modification].
[Voice Signature 2 / Class: Scout]: "Shatter always had a double bottom. Everyone thought he was a simple guy from Kaon, but turns out he was some intern from the elite Iacon Academy who, for some reason, used to hang around the underground gladiator rings in the pits of Tarn way before the war. That's where he and that crazy champion, Lowr, hooked up. Shter was constantly writing off secret repair kits and special alloys from the warehouse for him, like Lowr was his private test subject rather than an arena fighter."
Initiating a hidden query to legacy pre-war logistics records regarding equipment issuance in the Tarn sector...
[Voice Signature 2 / Class: Scout]: "And Lowr himself, back when he was still alive, repeatedly told stories here that he used to be a gladiator long ago and already knew Shatterpoint back then. Lowr had some serious slag-up with his memory, though — constantly forgot everything, mixed up dates and names, his processor was clearly shorting out. But the fact that he was a gladiator, that's a hundred percent for sure."
[Aircraft's System Note]: New variables registered in the Creator's case. Established a primary link between Shatterpoint and Unit Lowr prior to the onset of military hostilities.
[DIALOGUE REGISTRATION END]
Document No. 2.2: Extract from the Combat Casualties Register (Reconnaissance Archives)
PERSONNEL LOSS REPORT
Unit: 3rd Reconnaissance Corps
Unit ID: Cleaver (ID: R-812)
Status: DEACTIVATED (Written off as scrap)
Date of Loss Registration: 41.05.05
Circumstances: During a reconnaissance patrol near the ruins of Iacon, the unit was ambushed by Autobots. The unit sustained critical damage to its spark and life support systems. Chassis evacuation was impossible due to the high risk to the evacuation team and heavy enemy fire.
Signature of Attending Medic: Shatterpoint
Certified by: Soundwave
Document No. 2.3:
Special Note by Pit Overseer (Tarn):
"The Iaconian intern (DE-7742) continues to requisition scarce alloys for gladiator GL-001. The volume of expended materials exceeds the limits for standard repairs. It remains unclear how a student from Iacon obtained authorization to work on heavy combat processors in our sector. No requests or directives have been received from the Academy."
"The Search for Truth"
Context: After Aircraft failed (or didn't want) to kill Shatterpoint on the Beach, he returns to the Nemesis. He needs to report to Starscream, but a system error is brewing within him: the Creator lied. Aircraft begins digging into his past, using his officer clearance.
Investigation Objectives:
Objective 1: Find Shatterpoint's initial place of service and the names of the officers who were his first commanders.
Objective 2: Discover the official reason for the medic's transfer from reconnaissance to Shockwave's secret laboratory.
Document No. 1.1: OFFICIAL REPORT OF THE "NEMESIS" OPERATIONAL GROUP
To: Air Commander Starscream From: Unit Aircraft (Class: Aircraft Carrier/Project "A")
Status: PRIORITY REPORT
Subject: Results of the pursuit of object DE-7742 (Shatterpoint)
REPORT CONTENT:
Location and conditions: The object was detected in sector 7-G (ocean coastline, archipelago). The landscape was open, providing ideal visibility for targeting systems. The object was in helicopter alt-mode, attempting to evacuate equipment from an abandoned Autobot base. Intercept course: Upon closing to firing range, I activated the liquidation protocol. The object offered no active resistance, which contradicts tactical models of deserters. Verbal contact: Prior to opening fire, the object initiated a data transmission on an open frequency. Object quote (Shatterpoint): "Next time, try to be less... predictable." Technical malfunction: At the moment of target locking, my main processor recorded a critical synchronization error (Code: 404-TR-Awakening). Targeting systems issued a false signal indicating an allied unit in the kill zone. A re-attempt to acquire the target was aborted due to a sharp temperature spike in the power core. Result: Due to a split-second delay in data processing, Shatterpoint performed a spatial maneuver and vanished from the scan zone. The pursuit was terminated due to the risk of fuel depletion over the ocean massif.
CONCLUSIONS AND REQUESTS: I deem it necessary to conduct a full diagnostic of my combat protocols, as Shatterpoint demonstrated anomalous knowledge of my algorithms. I request access to the "Aircraft" project archives (Section: Neural Calibration) to exclude the possibility of remote influence on my processor by the target.

[Reply from Starscream]
Diagnostics, he asks! Your only problem is that your processor is as sluggish as your fuselage. You got scared of an old medic, tubby! If he knows your protocols, it means he planted a 'backdoor' in you back when you were lying on Shockwave's table. Better go purge what that traitor shoved into you. Just don't you dare miss again when I issue my next order.

Greetings! Want to feel like a real detective in the Cybertron universe?
I invite you to play an interactive investigation game where you, playing as my OC Aircraft, will uncover the dark past of his creator — Shatterpoint! If you've already seen and read the lore of my OCs #Aircraft and #Shatterpoint, you will definitely enjoy diving into their story yourself.
Before we begin, I highly recommend reading the prequel fanfic to catch the right vibe and understand why Aircraft decided to dig into these archives in the first place:
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
UNSOLVED CASE
Game Rules
Goal of the game Complete all Investigation Objectives in each of the 5 stages. You must not simply read the documents, but find evidence (dates, names, technical matches) that refutes Shatterpoint's lies and reveals his true role in your creation.
Structure of materials The game consists of 5 envelopes (Stages). In each envelope you will find: Objective Letter: a clear list of what you need to figure out. Case Files: official Decepticon reports, photos of procedures, diary fragments, audio transcripts, and your own corrupted memory logs.
Investigation process Sequence: It is forbidden to open the next Stage until all objectives of the current one are met. Finding evidence: An objective is considered complete if you can justify the answer by citing at least two different documents. Example: The date in Soundwave's report does not match the date in the official resume. Analysis of "Photo Evidence": Look closely at the details in the images. Sometimes a number in the background or a piece of armor on the table will tell you more than the text.
Role of Aircraft (The Player) Remember: you are not just a detective, you are the Subject. Your processor may throw errors (flashbacks) when you find particularly harsh facts about Shatterpoint. Your own diagnostic charts are also evidence. Compare them with what Shtr did to others.
Stage completion When you are confident that the objectives are met: Formulate an answer (Aircraft's internal monologue). Set aside the evidence that proves you right. Move on to the next envelope.
⚠️ Main rule:
Shatterpoint is a master of manipulation. If a document looks too perfect, it was most likely forged by him. Look for "dirt" in the reports of those who hated him (Starscream) or simply did their job (rank-and-file soldiers).
Additional materials:
How to read dates in documents (Example): If you see the date 12.5.402 in a report, it means:
12 — Epoch. Vorn (e.g., service in Recon Squad #3). (Approximately 83,000 Earth years).
5 — Phase. Cycle (e.g., operation in the border territories).
402 — The specific day the record was created.
1 Vorn (V) = 100 Cycles.
1 Cycle (C) = 1000 Days (from 000 to 999).
Total: 1 Vorn = 100,000 Cybertronian Days.
Investigation tip: to determine which document is newer, always look at the first number (V) first, then the second (C), and only at the end the day number. For example, a file dated 13.1.001 will be later than 12.9.999
Shatterpoint dug around inside my head. He erased all the bad moments, leaving behind nothing but artificial adoration, and perhaps he even snatched away some of the good memories so I wouldn’t ask too many questions. And then, after he’d done his dirty work, he just ran off. He abandoned me.
Just like he abandoned Lour. It is only now that I understand the terrible truth about the gladiator. Lour didn’t die in the war for the Decepticons because he genuinely wanted to or believed in Megatron’s cause. He walked into the slaughter simply because Shatterpoint told him to. My Creator used the war to erase the consequences of his "youth." He used the hands of the Autobots to clean up the traces of his experiments.
Megastar is more fun when Megatron is younger than Starscream. Besides the visual, Starscream has funnier reactions when Megatron brings up his age
Yeah! Starscream being REALLY old is great because he still acts like… that. And he would be vain enough to regularly replace his face to look younger. It would also give him another reason to be so disrespectful to Megatron (other than his massive ego). I think they should continue the trend of Starscream always being around doing stuff and then give an exact date of Megatrons birth, but for a future continuity they make this more obvious by revealing things he did before the war and each reveal is a date that's older and older than the day of Megatrons creation.
But no matter how old Starscream is, he’s always going to be the bigger brat so no one thinks that Megatron is actually the younger one!
Photocards set I did for TFCON Chicago a while last year :D
This was the first set, second set was already posted.
Planning on doing at least a TFP sometime!!
Just was talking about them with my friends and i can't think about that SG version of Aircraft would definitely be attracted to his other version. Like Aircraft handsome, loyal, obedient, selfless- that what SG!Aircraft would like.
