Its 4:06 am and I just jolted awake because I had a realization in the dead of sleep so forgive me if I do not have the eloquence and intelligence to put my thoughts to words

Yoshiki wearing hikaru like his devotion

I first was thinking about hikayoshi power play, not even like explicitly sexual at all. Just something about Hikaru giving up all control and trusting Yoshiki with that control, like literally giving half of himself to Yoshiki and therefore literally giving him his life. Hikaru really put his fate in the palms of Yoshiki's hands with no hesitation.

And i imagine Hikaru would never actually ever meet anyone more powerful than himself. He's a literal wish granting god, practically invincible and under no obligations to follow any human morals, and what did he do? He creates the only person who can destroy him. It's so absurd, and even Tanaka voices this when he talks about how Hikaru is aware and even weakening himself. Like who even does that?

Hikaru wakes up every morning knowing Yoshiki could end him on a whim, and it's thrilling. Each day he wakes up, alive and well, and he meets the boy who may as well hold his beating heart. There's no high quite like it, and hikaru is thoroughly addicted.

Back to Yoshiki though

When I thought of this i imagined Yoshiki wearing Hikaru's half on a leather cord around his neck, much like a cross. It'd make it more exhilarating for both of them. Everytime Hikaru sees Yoshiki he's reminded that Yoshiki is actively choosing to stay by his side, and Yoshiki is actively flaunting his devotion to his god.

When he walks past people wearing a cross his first though is no longer, "would they hate me because of it?" No, now his attention is drawn to the weight around his own neck and his own form of faith.

He's trusting an eldritch horror to go against his nature each time they're together. Hikaru has mentioned how appealing his soul is, and yet he holds a piece of the very being who could kill him in seconds right to his heart, right to his soul. Devotion doesn't even begin to cover what Yoshiki has.

Even after murders and almost murders Yoshiki has given his entire being to his god, signed with a prayer and everything. (Ill stick with ya, even if something inside of me breaks) he's aware this could be a self destructive spiral but he's resigned himself to forgive time and time again.

So yeah, my first thought was to have Yoshiki wear his faith on a cord, but then i realized he already holds Hikaru to his heart. (Idk what side the heart is on, or the side Yoshiki's pocket is, sue me whatever idcidc) And nobody but hikaru and Yoshiki even know it.

It's their own little secret, their faith and how deep it goes. By looking at Yoshiki there'd be no sign that he's a devout believer, but hikaru knows. He feels it radiating off in waves from Yoshiki's heart, each one pulling him closer and letting him know that Yoshiki is carrying half of him and it's calling for him, practically screaming and begging to be taken back. He won't, he very much likes having that piece with Yoshiki after all. Not just for the act of trust, but because a small part of him is thrilled at the thought of aways being with Yoshiki. Maybe it's possessiveness, maybe it's obsessiveness. It's probably both, and it definitely goes both ways.

Hikayoshi promise rings I need this

So here are a few of the ways I imagine them getting engagement/promise rings (also manga spoilers)

1. In front of the town

So with the latest chapters with Yoshiki telling Hikaru he loves him and people seeing what Hikaru really is. Hikaru doesn't even really care that he's been exposed, because like the manga said he cares way more about how Yoshiki sees him, and Yoshiki loves him. How could he think straight after that?

Hikaru can't, his happiness gets the better of him and he takes Yoshiki's hand and proposes. Right in front of everyone. He doesn't have a ring but he promises to get one the second he can. He's blunt, essentially just "Yoshiki, marry me"

Yoshiki is stunned, flustered and emberassed and anxious all at once. The company is still there, the very much homophoic town is watching, he's being proposed to

He gapes like a fish out of water and hikaru takes that as a sign to keep talking. "I know my feelings are weird and twisted and... monstrous, I know that, and maybe im selfish for wanting you all for myself. Actually, no, I know im selfish for wanting you all to myself. You're perfect, Yoshiki, so kind and beautiful with the brightest soul I've ever seen, and I want you to belong to me, but I also want to belong to you. I want to hold your hand and go on movie dates and feel butterflies in my stomach, I want to love you whole in a way that's distinctly human. I want it all, I want to grow old with you and learn everything about what makes humans so valuable and find new reasons to fall in love with you along the way."

Yoshiki would be crying by the end of it, and hikaru would panic and wipe his tears away softly apologizing for being too much but Yoshiki would just kiss him. Right there in front of everyone and it'd be so freeing to be himself for the first time in his life.

I planned to have like 5 scenes minimum in this one post but I got lazy really quick and I do wanna post today so ig this is a series now (^^;

I promise there will be at least like 10 different posts though i just cant promise to be quick

My reaction to seeing the new chapter

I JUST woke up and the first thing I did was check im so excited for the next one UGHHH its so peak hikayoshi kiss next chapters trust im manifesting

The strawhats arrive at an island full of bugs of all kinds and when they have to leave Luffy is really upset because he doesn't want to leave the cool bugs but he also can't take them because they wouldn't survive outside their natural habitat

Cue Usopp, who's been crushing hard: "I can draw them for you, then you can always look at them"

And he does and they're gorgeous and Luffy hugs him so tightly and so happily Usopp swears he died and went to heaven

So obviously Usopp starts painting for Luffy all the time. Sanji and Nami hate all the insect paintings so much they have Franky carve out a room where Usopp can paint and store those paintings.

Tiny bit more on omega Yoshiki and beta Hikaru

Pretty sure I made Yoshiki's mom and sister an alpha and his dad a beta

I actually did think this through bc in my mind its traditional for omegas to have betas help them through heats as in they bring them food and water and keep them company since betas don't have a scent and omegas are more likely to accept a beta into their nest rather than an alpha or another omega

Usually there is already a beta in the family of an omega since omegas are rare and it is unlikely for 2 to be born in the same family so there wouldn't be a problem of alpha and omega parents (since that is the traditional omega pairing) not having a beta available to help

The most common pairings are actually alpha/beta and beta/beta so when an omega child is born their parent will be the one to look after them and occasionally siblings step in too

But the thing with Yoshiki is that his relationship with his father is so strained his omega refuses to let him in the nest regardless of scent and since he's the only beta in the family Yoshiki would have to then manage on his own, exept hikaru is a beta, one Yoshiki is more than happy to allow into his nest

So Hikaru takes on the responsibility of caring for Yoshiki every 6 months when his heat hits. Its not like it's hard work since Yoshiki's family provides the food and supplies, all hikaru has to do is bring it up to the room. For the most part its just the two of them lazing about in Yoshiki's room watching movies and reading comics with hikaru occasionally needing to replace Yoshiki's cooling pad on his forehead and sometimes stepping aside while Yoshiki goes into a nesting frenzy and rearranges the room

Other than that it's pretty much just hanging out so hikaru was more than glad to help, especially since being the official "caretaker", or whatever the word would be, for Yoshiki meant he was exempt from school during these times. (Side note i imagine this would require a lot of paper work and even doctors notes being like yeah the relationship with the only beta family member is fucked so hikaru stepping in is the best for Yoshiki's health and I just think that's funny)

And well then Hikaru died and that really messed with Yoshiki AND his omega especially with having to come to terms with the fact that his body is here but he isn't and his instincts are just going crazy during his next heat

Instinctively he wants Hikaru there but he also doesn't want to be around 'Hikaru' when he's at his most vulnerable. Not that it matters much since Hikaru is already registered as his caretaker and has been for a few years now so Hikaru is going to be there unless he wants people to start asking questions

Yoshiki is fighting his instincts to relax when hes in his nest that he begrudgingly built since he felt uncomfortable not having one even though he tried his best to ignore it so as to not show vulnerability in front of hikaru

And all that fighting is exhausting, so eventually he drops like a rock and his instincts completely take over. He's been in so much distress about Hikaru and the thought of losing him that he can't help but cling to him now that his rational mind isn't stopping him.

He wraps himself around Hikaru and purrs happily when he returns the affection and whines like a pup everytime he pulls away even if it's for something like getting food.

By the end of his heat Yoshiki is mortified at his behavior, and he's even more mortified that since that incident his instincts register Hikaru as safe because he took care of Yoshiki when he needed him most

Everyone shut up im cooking

Langa knowing the song Heather and about 3rd of December and all of that, AND more specifically he knows that Reki doesn't know what it means

And Langa is so nervous all day because yeah Reki doesn't know but also he can't just casually give Reki one of his favorite articles of clothes and not be questioned??

This man is sweating, he's stressing himself out so much all for a damn sweater that when he really thinks about it really shouldn't be something you gift to someone who lives with Okinawa weather but Reki is always wearing hoodies anyways and he's just trying to stall

In the end he just leaves it in Reki room after coming over for dinner, and when Reki calls and tells him he forgot it he just says "no i didn't"

They go on a back and forth of "yes you did i have it in my hands" and "you're not listening, I didn't forget anything" until Langa finally manages to tell him he left the sweater for him and abruptly hangs up

Hear me out omega Yoshiki

I have a vision hear me out

His mom is an alpha, his dad is a beta, and his sister either hasn't presented or she's an alpha

In this particular au omegas are rare so Yoshiki would actually be one of very very few and they're always expected to be with an alpha

The thing is, Yoshiki cant stand alphas that aren't his family. He hates their stench, and they always seem to think they have a right to him because he's an omega

If he had it his way he'd date his best friend, a beta. It isnt unheard of for omegas and betas to date, but his village would never accept it. Since omegas are so rare they're expected to end up with an alpha, and in his case, preferably a female one. He's already at two negatives with wanting to be with not only a boy, but a beta.

So essentially, take all his self loathing, Internalized homophobia, and yearning, and triple it.

People constantly tell him to take more care of himself, he's "precious". They pick apart his diet, scrutinize the bags under his eyes, and constantly try to set him up with their alpha daughters/granddaughters/whatever

Hikaru made it bearable. Anytime he got too caught up in all this omega nonsense Hikaru was always there for him. He never felt like Hikaru expected anything of him, and maybe that's what made him fall so hard. Not that it mattered, nothing could ever happen between them.

When 'Hikaru' came around he didn't understand the whole second gender thing. It was irritating at first, Yoshiki already had to constantly be hearing about it and then he'd have to go and explain it to hikaru like he was a newly presented pup, but then it became a relief.

'Hikaru' also didn't expect anything from him, he thought the whole thing was stupid and never quite grasped all the social norms tied to your second gender. It perhaps made Yoshiki more fond of him (because hes not ready to admit that he may be falling for the same thing)

Yoshiki having a really bad day and asking 'Hikaru' to just let him pretend Hikaru is still here and never died and hikaru stares for a long time but he does it, or he does his best to anyways and then feels terrible the rest of the week

I NEED miya being a cheeky little brother and Langa HATES him, absolutely DESPISES him

Miya stays over at the Kyan household almost as frequently as Langa and he begins to leave his healthy snacks and stuff in the fridge. And okay, miya wouldn't mind if anyone took some because well sharing is caring and everyone else shares with him, so why wouldn't he share?

But that doesn't exactly include Langa, especially not when he eats half the pantry already AND he still eats Miyas last granola bar AND didn't even throw the box away, leaving just and empty box to give miya false hope of enjoying his snack.

It's on sight with Langa after that, but Reki wouldn't actually allow that. Its not fun anyways when Reki would scold him after he picks a fight with Langa, even if Langa did deserve it, so he goes for a different angle.

Miya begins asking for hugs from Reki more, insists they hang out, and generally pulling the little brother card. Reki is more than happy to indulge him on this, much to the displeasure of Langa.

Reki wins a beef? Miya is the first to hug him. Miya wins a beef? He seeks out reki and pulls hims away from Langa. Langa wins? It's a group hug, and Langa isn't allowed to complain that he only wanted to hug Reki.

Miya knows what he's doing and plays up and innocent act, he soaks up all the attention Reki give him while simultaneously flipping Langa off. It is his greatest revenge yet.

Today i overheard a boy in the halls say "i thought i was over her, but then I saw her today and it's like it all hit me. Like, its her, how could i ever let her go?"

And i am sobbing i dont know who that boy is, who he's talking about, or even what he looks like since he was behind me, but i can't stop thinking about it

So now im making it renga bc I can't just sit on this

Renga broke up after the whole dramatic rain scene and basically they never really made up. Reki never went to go see Langa race, so Langa never won against Joe and lost his enthusiasm for skating along with it

Reki, of course, turned in his s pin and never returned. For a while Langa went to S alone hoping to spot reki, but he never did, so eventually he gave up and stopped showing up too.

They still sit next to eachother in class but they dont talk, Reki ignored Langa and after a while Langa stopped trying to start conversation.

They eventually graduate and then they dont ever see eachother again, Reki works full time at dope sketch and Langa works some part time job to help out his mom while he figures out what he wants to do next. When his dad was around he thought he'd probably go pro with his dad as his main support, and then when he quit snowboarding and took up skateboarding he figured hed skate infinitely with reki and figure out the rest from there, now he has nothing and feels lost, like he's just floating around looking for a purpose.

At first he was miserable, but then he felt numb, and eventually he stopped perking up at the sound of wheels on the pavement, hoping that by some miracle thats reki skating his way.

He tells himself he's over it, he may not know what he's doing but hes made friends at work. Sometimes they go out for lunch together, and that's enough for him. Its not like he's isolated or anything. Life doesn't look the same way it did with reki, but he can learn to live with it. He has color in his life, even if it isnt fiery red or clashing neon, there's color to be found.

It takes him months, but a year or so after graduation he has stopped thinking of Reki entirely. He doesn't think of his smile when he sees some stupid meme online, he doesn't come to mind when he sees a stranger wearing a hoodie on the hottest of days, and he definitely doesn't think of reki when he happens to pass by s. He can confidently say he's over him.

And then one day while out shopping for his mom he catches a flash of red hair. At first he doesn't even think twice about it, red has stopped meaning anything to him now, but then he hears a boisterous laugh and his attention is fully diverted towards it. His ears apperantly never got the memo, and they will still always give reki his undivided attention.

Langa feels his heart drop, he cant even continue shopping anymore. He leaves everything in his cart and bolts out the door, he cant get groceries another time anyways.

He doesn't see reki again, but he wants to, he wants to so bad. Its like the year he spent getting over him didn't even happen and he's back to old habits. He looking for bright hoodies that stand out in the crowd, he eyes silly headbands in store displays for a little too long, and he strains to hear the sound of wheels anywhere nearby.

Its as if he's been blind all this time and now he can remember just how much color is missing from his life.

Yoshiki teaching 'Hikaru' about what it means to be in love solely because of that one scene where he says he has a lot to teach him

Him doing his best to describe it in words and it's so awkward because they would just be sitting on his bed facing each other in almost complete silence

"It feels like.. well, my chest kind of tightens up and my heart begins to beat faster. I feel nervous, and my stomach does a weird swoopy thing"

"It sounds kind of unpleasant"

Meanwhile Hikaru knowing damn well he has not disliked any of the feeling Yoshiki brings out of him. Confused, sure, and maybe a little unsettled because what the hell even are feelings? But the feelings themselves aren't bad, at least he doesn't think they are

They get no where with trying to explain it verbally

Hikaru would probably say something like, "I don't know if I feel like that, but I know i like making you happy. If this is something you want, then I want it too."

Yoshiki is mortified because that is not how relationships are supposed to work and Hikaru is upset because he doesn't understand why they can't just be boyfriends already

They don't become boyfriends despite how much Hikaru insists that he doesn't mind and is happy to date Yoshiki. He constantly tries to do couple like things with him but it always shot down because Yoshiki thinks Hikaru is only doing it to make Yoshiki happy

Eventually as time goes by and Hikaru gets to process what he feels and discovers that the way he feels for Yoshiki is vastly different from what he feels for anyone else

Naturally, he tries to win Yoshiki over again. He is actually a love sick fool, after he identified his feelings and realized he loves the way it feels he can't get enough of Yoshiki and Yoshiki is suffering

For a while Yoshiki brushes him off until he can't anymore when Hikaru corners him and tells him exactly what he feels for him

Im not good enough with words for this but something something "I feel like im going to explode when I'm not with you. Im always counting down the seconds until I get to be with you again, and you were right. My heart beats faster when im near you or even when I think of you, and my stomach feels so.. well, swoopy"

The way in the anime 'Hikaru' says he has to make sure no one else takes Yoshiki and then it cuts to young Hikaru being told that if he finds someone he likes to make sure to marry then so they aren't taken away and uggdhs they make me sick I love them
