Lizzie vs the Insect Hashira and the hippocratic oath
When Shinobu found out that the Englishwoman had nearly a decade of nursing experience under her belt and had served in an army hospital during the Great War, she couldn't believe it. What was a nurse doing serving as a swordswoman in the Demon Slayer Corps? Why was she not stationed in the Butterfly Mansion or, at the very least, serving as a Kakushi?
The Insect Hashira took it upon herself to harass, beg, cajole, and plead at every opportunity to join the nurses at the Butterfly Mansion. Lizzie took to avoiding the mansion as much as she could afford. When she inevitably found herself cornered Shinobu, Lizzie adamantly refused her requests, always insisting, "My nursing days are over. I am only here to destroy monsters."
That is, until one day, Shinobu trapped the older woman with a plan. Her role as a swordswoman put her in a unique position to save lives before the Kakushi could arrive and to test experimental field medicines and tools. When Lizzie inevitably refused, Shinobu was ready with a counter - an order from The Master himself.
And that is how Lizzie found herself sent off to the Sound Hashira's estate with a bag filled with experimental emergency medical supplies and a letter. The letter contained a writ granting the Englishwoman permission to complete each hashira's training with the bag on her person.

I know it didn’t happen like this but its kinda of funny, thinking Giyuu didn’t need to go as far as to swear to commit seppuku to let Tanjiro and Nezuko in. Kagaya from day one been trying to get his boy some well to live and not just exist, he give him special needs Crow, asked the pillars to make nice and try to get to know him (which turned into a disaster but thats on Gyomi) and Say things like “Tomioka would rather turn back on his path and continuously force himself into despair." And “"How glad I would be if I'm able to see Giyuu smile from the bottom of his heart.'"
Giyuu never asked for anything like ever he doesn’t even OWN much in all of the five years he been a pillar, then he showed up with two kids like
Giyuu: can we keep them-
Kagaya: YES
KAGAYA BEEN WAITING FOR GIYUU TO WANT SOMETHING
"Good morning, Mr Tomioka. It's another beautiful, sunny day....Hah! It looks like the white-bellied tits are having another row in the yard. Seems to be about the seeds Nurse Aoi threw out in the courtyard....You know, I think spring might come early this year. I noticed the snow is starting to melt on the pathways in the courtyard already...I do hope you'll try to wake up in time for the sakura to bloom. You wouldn't want to spend sakura season in a coma, now would you?"
After surviving the Infinity Castle, my girl Lizzie Howard felt the call to return to nursing for the first time in years. While still recovering from her own wounds, she traded her haori for an apron and got to work helping the overwhelmed Butterfly Mansion staff. After spending her formative years as a nurse during the Great War, Lizzie never expected to find peace in returning to a wartime hospital. But it seemed there was healing waiting for her, too, among the beds of the wounded.
One patient became her special project: the water hashira who seemed particularly stubborn about hovering along the line between life and death. Her experience with comatose soldiers during the Great War taught her that the unconscious were always listening, even if the doctors dismissed it as nonsense. Certain in her belief that responsiveness was not a requirement for dignity, the Englishwoman took it upon herself to strike up a one-sided friendship with the comatose Giyuu Tomioka. Perhaps a friendly voice could coax him into staying among the living just a bit longer.
I can't wait for the Demon Slayer anime to fully adapt Yoriichi's backstory
It's my favorite part of the manga, and I can't wait for the anime fandom to finally see it and give me more Yoriichi content
Please, I'm addicted to Yoriichi
Perks of marrying into the industry - free Giyuus!
Cute Nezuko! 💗
@yuki2sksksk behold! She!
Okay. Okay, friend. Nezuko repairing Giyuu's shredded haori. Hold my hand. Repairing it while he's in a coma. His haori is a reminder of his 'failure'. A memorial to the two people who died in his place. Yes? Okay. Listen. Nezuko probably used shashiko. You know it? Yes, the embroidery that makes the patchwork obvious in beautiful ways and reinforces the integrity of the fabric. It transforms his hoari, you see? The new seams are covered with beautiful little stitches. It ties everything together. His haori becomes a symbol of his victory. His shared victory with Sabito and Tsutako. Do you see the vision, friend?? Do you seeee???
Like this, friend, like this.

Here's my Demon Slayer OC. Her name is Lizzie (or Rijī, depending on who you ask). She's not from around here. Her Japanese is...a work in progress. She'll become a flame-breathing swordsman one day, but we have to traumatize her a bit first.
But let's let her enjoy that warm haori for now. It's been a long night, and the haori's owner doesn't seem to want it back any time soon.
Flash back to happier days
