Bandos

Bandos had a significant overhaul in 2005, which added some accommodation and an extension of its facilities. The appearance of the station is the right balance between formal and casual styles. The reception has a range of modern conveniences such as internet hotspot, plasma television, conference room, etc.. Still, it did not affect the natural beauty of the everyday station that has not been compromised at all. The overall impression is of peaceful accommodation with areas of private beach shaded by palm trees and other vegetation. The main bar and cafe are located near water; the bar is usually a hive of activity until the early hours of the morning. The restaurants, though not particularly inspiring in their decor, serve a variety of quality dishes.

This station has made great efforts to accommodate families, with a nursery run by female staff who, in addition to providing care, provide babysitting in the evening if necessary. Some of the rooms, junior, and have a standard door for families that are split between the pieces. The resort is popular with families so that children are too young to take part in certain activities older will probably have other children their age to play around with. 

Activities

Bandos has one of the leading centers of diving in the Maldives, having even one of the rare decompression chambers in the country. There is a good range of courses from PADI courses from beginner to expert during re-breather. The dive center here is both a PADI Gold Palm Resort Facility Platinum International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers.

Accommodation

48 Junior suites are available and are richly decorated with a color scheme of tan and yellow, a solid wood canopy bed, and a sense of style that makes them feel very intimate. The only drawback is that the beach in this section of the station is completely submerged at high tide, but it is a small matter for most, I think. There are 84 standard rooms beside the beach and 19 others who are not beachfront. They are nicely furnished with tiled floors and balconies. These alternate between standard rooms and twin bed layout to provide families again.

I generally stay away from juicing vegetables like broccoli and cabbage as they can be a bit harsh on the tummy. It’s also been found that large amounts of cruciferous veggies can harm thyroid function. However, this is argued as it is also said that you’d have to eat an awful lot of raw cruciferous vegetables to have any negative response.

Other great veggies for juicing

Spinach and celery are fabulous for juicing as they are full of vitamins and pack your gut with good things when juiced thoroughly and kept calm. Fennel and other herbs such as dandelion can also be beautiful additions to your green juices.
