Callum had settled in well at work, and was popular among his colleagues, who encouraged him to have a bachelor party. He was more than up for the idea, but made sure that he was the one to spray everyone else with fizzy nectar, opposed to the tradition of it being the groom-to-be.
Callum partied long into the night, but spent a lot of it thinking about Elena, which made him even more excited for the upcoming days.
As one chapter closed for Quinton, another begun for his brother Callum, who was already climbing the ladder at Twinbrook’s fire station. After working hard during his internship, and successfully extinguishing his first few fires, Callum had made a good enough impression to be kept on as a permanent member of the department. He was thrilled and couldn’t get enough of the adrenaline rush that he experienced from being so close to danger.
As graduation rolled around, Aspen and Quinton, who had both achieved an A in completing their degrees, decided to go on a final date to celebrate their hard work and efforts.
However, the one topic on both of their minds was the future of their relationship now that university was finishing. Quinton had been considering the idea of them moving in together, out of their family homes, and so nervously made the proposal, alongside a bunch of flowers, in the hope that Aspen would agree to it.
Aspen was delighted that Quinton had asked her to move in with him and admitted that she had also been pondering over the idea. She even suggested what town they should move to, one not too far away from both of their homes, but with enough distance to give them some independence.
Although both sims were sad to leave their university chapter behind them, they were overjoyed at the prospect of what would happen next.
As part of Aspen’s final, she had to submit an art piece of something that she felt a strong connection to, whether it be nature, a hobby or a person.
Of course, she chose Quinton as her model, producing various sketches and paintings of him, which when accumulated in her portfolio, were graded an impressive A.
Aspen couldn’t be happier that all of her hard work had paid off, and was more than excited to venture into the world of architecture back home.
University life was a bit topsy-turvy for Aspen so she was glad that she had Quinton to talk to. Her course wasn’t everything that she had hoped for, with many hours being spent in the classroom studying opposed to painting and drawing, which she filled her free time with. She knew it would all be worth it when she graduated and got her dream job though, and so pushed through, with the end of term insight.
As the dark set in, they enjoyed a picnic together and lit the bonfire to keep them warm, whilst talking about deep life-related topics and growing even closer. Aspen was thrilled with their first date and already couldn’t wait until the next one.
Romance was apparent throughout the Parker family, as Love Day was approaching. Back at university, Quinton and Aspen spent a night together at the campsite (on an official date this time). Quinton was still nervous to make a move on Aspen but she tries her hardest to reassure him that she definitely felt the same.
Katie and Bradley were ecstatic about the news of Callum’s soon-to-be marriage, and began thinking about their own wedding and how excited they had been to grow old together.
They decided to visit the Spring Fair and spent their time mooching around the different stalls until they came across a 'soulmate matcher’ podium. Bradley had always told Katie that she was his soulmate and so they jokingly pulled the lever to see their results: it was no surprise that the indicator reached the top of the chart, stating that Bradley and Katie were made for each other!
Callum was falling more in love with Elena every day and had no intentions of waiting to marry her. He was eager to set a date for the wedding within the next few months, and couldn’t wait to declare her his wife.
Elena was less committed to the idea of marriage and settling down, and was at the stage where, unlike Callum, she wanted to go out and party, and have nothing serious stopping her from letting loose. But she knew she was lucky to have already found someone who thought so highly of her, so she went along with his plans and prepared herself for the wedding.
And with that, Callum got on one knee and spilled his heart out to Elena, telling her how she meant the world to him, and presenting her with a ring. At first. she was shocked, but she couldn’t turn down his innocent smile and sweet words, and so accepted the proposal with a grin and hugged her excitable fiance.
Although she hadn’t planned on marrying at such a young age, Elena knew that Callum was invested in her and she had strong feelings for him, so she couldn’t see any reason for not becoming engaged to him.
Callum and Elena’s relationship was blossoming and although they were young, Callum was convinced that he had found his one true love. Being a hopeless romantic meant that he was fully invested in their relationship, and all he could think about was taking the next step with Elena. He was sure that she felt the same, and couldn’t wait to commit himself to her.
And so one misty spring night, he asked her out on a date at the bistro and they ate a fancy, overpriced meal, which set the scene for Callum’s plan: this date was extra special, because in his pocket, sat an expensive diamond ring, and he only had to muster up enough courage to pull it out...
Callum wanted to follow in his parents’ footsteps and help people through his daily work. Since he was a practical and athletic person, he applied for an internship at the local fire station, and was accepted with immediate start. This internship was different to most: he was thrown into the fire (no pun intended) straight away and was all hands on in the field.
Back at home, the melting snow and floral smells signal the start of spring, a time of new beginnings, as the last of the Parker children ages up!
Callum didn’t want an overly big celebration for his birthday and so Katie and Bradley threw him a small party in the backyard, with a home baked cake and some blue balloons. Elena came to wish him a happy birthday as the Parkers let loose and danced under the setting sun.
Quinton took Aspen’s hand and told her that he found her really attractive, and although he cherished their friendship, he wanted to be honest about his feelings and let her know that he could see something developing with her romantically. He prepared himself for rejection, but was happily surprised when Aspen declared the same feelings and told him that she had wanted to say something for most of the term.
Quinton ended their ‘date’ by giving Aspen some red flowers, as a token of their new relationship: which wasn’t boyfriend and girlfriend yet, but definitely a step further than before!
Over the term, Quinton’s fondness for Aspen had grown dramatically, and he was starting to develop feelings for her. He wasn’t sure if she felt the same and so had been a bit hesitant to say anything in case it ruined their friendship, but after spending so much time with her, he knew he had to tell her how he really felt.
He took the opportunity of first term ending to invite her out to the local bowling alley, where after playing a few games, he took her to the side and started subtly hinting that he saw her as more than a friend...
Meanwhile, at university, Quinton and Aspen were settling in well, and both took a liking to their courses. Aspen spent most of her time painting and trying out new arty techniques, whilst Quinton studied hard and participated in all of his classes, forming good relationships with his lecturers. Winter term was flying by, and the pair were loving every second of it!
Winter in Twinbrook was now in full swing, and so the time of year had come where school was closed for weeks on end. Callum spent a lot of his free time texting Elena, and managed to pluck up enough courage to ask her out on a date. Luckily enough, she accepted the offer, and the pair went to the local festival, where they exchanged a kiss and talked about their relationship on a more serious, sober level. Callum declared his feelings for Elena, and to his luck, she admitted that she felt the same, and so it was only right for him to ask her to be his girlfriend!
