Atp I'm just blocking Good Omens fans who like the ending. It breaks my heart to see the GO community so at odds as I've loved this series since 2020/2021, but I cant take the back and forth atp.

I'm not liking what I'm seeing in the Go3 tag oooof.

One thing I thought about was the entire universe being reset or something. How can that be done with the existence of other religions? Unless it's implied that Christianity is the only "one true religion". Wouldn't other gods and deities and deamons have a legitimate issue with a god trying to fundamentally reset all there is to life? That there was truly nothing worth saving and therefore justifying a great reset? The only time that happened would be the great flood, and even then there were a few faithful and a shitton of animals God specifically asked Noah to save. Even so what differentiates corruption pre-flood to corruption of the now?

It likely wouldn't matter since She was, according to GO wiki, willing to negotiate a deal to save the universe. On behalf of Crowley and Aziraphale. Who in turn asked Her to destroy it and all traces of organized religion just to create a perfect world of pure human free will. Huh.

How is that gonna work? Humans are evil motherfuckers and will find ways to do things lead to death, suffering, or destruction of other bodies. I genuinely believe that's just part of our nature; we take as we give. We destroy as we create. Destroying a world on behalf of ridding evil also means destroying what's beautiful and kind. There is no such thing as a perfect world. But carving a meaningful existence in an imperfect world is what gives life...well, meaning.

Why would God create a tree of knowledge in the first place had she not wanted this?

Save humanity my ass, they just casually repeated a cycle of earth as it always has been and may always will be. They killed themselves. They killed everyone they cared about. Why was it their choice? What about Bee and Gabe? Nina and Maggie. Is their existence too transient and unimportant? Did they not cause enough hierarchical disturbance to warrant directly speaking with God? Did She Herself simply not care what humans became, could be, were, will be?

With that being said, I wish God herself could have saved the world. Not in a fundamentalist way, but in a way where the system could actually be changed. That all the work and development Crowley and Aziraphale had meant something. That She saw both the worst and best of humanity and Her people, and forgave. That She forgave and apologized to Crowley and allowed him to exist. That She forgave Aziraphale by letting him be with Crowley and gaining knowledge. That her Plan was never a plan, rather just observing and adjusting the universe as She deems fit. That Mettaton was self appointed and never meant to speak upon Her behalf. That She had always known all and everything, and still has love regardless. Love. That should have been the ending. It was with the final scene in South Downs, but it was empty and conditional. This ending SUCKS I go BED.
