Illustration Friday – "Spark"

Happy Wednesday!

So this week illustration Friday is the word "Spark". I decided to make a poster for this week challenge. There was a song stuck in my head and inspired me to do this. I messed around with this idea and here are my sketchs:

I listened to the song and watched the music video. This is the scene that I really like. So I decided to use it as refference to create my art work just to promote for this song. I like it so much :P.

First;y, I opened Photoshop and roughly traced the image. And made some changes to it. I don't want just simply copy the image.

Next, Inking in grayscale. 

Finally, added the text and finished the final piece.

Exotic

This week Illustration Friday's challenge was the word "Exotic."I've decided to design a poster with this word. I thought about lady and peacock feather right away for they have exotic look and features. Then I started doing my research on Google. I found this great painting about Peacock from an unknown Chinese artist.

I really like the exotic look of peacock feather, so I've decided to brighten it up into my poster design. Afterward, I sketched few thumnails to get a vision of how my poster will look. 

Here is my final sketch/outline.

I added the wings to lift up the design and make it more exotic. An exotic lady wears an exotic peacock feather dress and she has wings like an angel. I just like to have fun with this design.

IF: "disguise" final piece.

So this week illustration friday challenge is "disguise". I'm working on my thumbnails. Here are what i'be done so far. I'm not quite finished yet, so i will post more sketch along the way.

Ink wash practice. I choose a b&w high contrast image from google and started playing with it. First I drew the outlines. Then i added the value into it. Finally, i finished it off by adding full values. Here are the result. Hope you like it. Thanks for reviewing!

IF: Beginning Baby, leaf and egg came to my mind when the word "Beginning" appears. I picked up my pencil and started drawing some thumbnails. There is the first step for this week challenge.

Today I've experienced with India ink, pen and brush. I had lot of fun when working with this technique. There are all the effect that I did. The first five pictures were with pen nib and India ink. And the rest were with brush.
