Home || Trish & Cody
The pressure of life was building, and taking on project after project at work was ceasing to be any help for Trish. It had been years since she last saw Adam but he was the one. She knew it them as much as she knew it now, there was no denying the love they shared. It was real and unhinged. Trish was beginning to think she would never find that again and it would be too late for her.
The pressure and stress was driving her off the wall and she dreaded the mornings she had to get out of bed. She needed something real, something substantial and with that thought in mind she opened her laptop and booked the first ticket out. A few hours later she was still in her pajamas on her way to Cody’s house. It had been a while since she last saw her brother and she needed him, she needed to cling on to someone before she completely fell apart. With three quick raps on the door she waited for him to answer, showing up unannounced she hoped he’d be home.
Trish’s hear felt lighter when she heard the unlocking of the bolt, bouncing in place; the nervousness engulfing her but she needed to fall apart and she knew no one better to help her put herself back together. When the door swung open she engulfed her brother in a hug the tears she’d been holding back for years finally falling from her face. Cody smelt of home, her little brother through the bickering and through the fights had always been her safe place. Loosening her grip around his neck she calmed her breathing and pulled away just long enough to mutter “hi” under her breath. “Cody, I don’t know what I’m doing anymore” she lowered her head looking at the ground.
