Oh please, this new law is a joke.
The whole shadow world is a joke. Yeah, totally.
Tyler sat in the empty training room, his back against the wall, completely engrossed in his new book. He hardly noticed the person that had joined him.
“Oh, hey, can I help you?”
"Hey, champ. I hardly see you, anymore. What've you been up to?" Veronica piped in brightly, fortunate to have finally found Tyler perfectly alright. Lately, she's been missing Tyler from peripheral view and it only worried her. She knew how extremely curious the kid could be.
Name: Veronica Hale ↠ Age: 23 ↠ Species: Mundane ↠ FC: Jessica Stroup ↠ Availability: Taken
BACKSTORY:
Veronica Hale is one of the most quiet and reserved mundanes you will ever meet, much like her brother, Tyler Hale. Unlike most of the mundanes who find themselves fascinated and curious of the Shadow world, Roni would much rather prefer staying in her tiny, safe apartment with a good book in her hand. She discovers multiple new worlds in books and prefers their company rather than that of the Shadowhunters or Downworlders. She believes that if she can read these things in books where she can travel in her mind but remain safe in the real world, then she doesn’t need the dangers of the Shadow world. She comes out as snobby and stuck-up because of her naturally aloof attitude, but people who actually get to know her discover that she’s actually very witty and fun-loving. She’s also technically very nice, depending on who she is facing. She could be a raging bitch to those who insult her or her brother, though she could also be kindhearted to those who treat her with benevolence.
Veronica has a hard time sparking up conversation with anyone because of her being naturally an introvert, which makes it hard for people to develop a friendship with her. She was diagnosed with social anxiety disorder, making it difficult for her to interact with big crowds of people. Anyone who tries to see through her meek persona Veronica immediately considers her friend. She believes that if you truly want to be friends with someone, you have to crack the person open like a nut and get to know that person. She is more of a lone wolf and nobody really knows much about her past except for her brother, of course. All in all, Veronica is the typical nerd. Even in her mundane school, she was the president of the Math & Science, but she was forced to quit school because of her discovery of the Shadow world. She frequently despises the fact that she has to have the Sight because of the fact that all this ruined her perfectly normal life. All she wants is to be normal and she always wondered why that was so hard to ask.
Veronica is actually a very good fighter, great even for a mundane. She doesn’t exactly want to train but she does all this for her brother, who is very engrossed in the Shadow world. She knows she has to protect him, with him not being much of a fighter. However, if she can find a way to talk him out of spending time in the Shadow world, she will do everything in her power to do so.
PERSONALITY:
Introverted — she is a hard nut to crack and people have to get to know her very well for them to be considered her friend
Resentful — she despises having the Sight because it ruined her perfectly normal life
Intelligent — she loves to learn new things and was the president of the Math & Science Clubs in her mundane school; she is also an avid reader

"Happy Sexual Sunday! Or as I like to call it, everyone get naked with me day!"
"Happy Sexual Sunday?"
Wow!
Who knew you could cook so well? Did you go to cooking school or something?
Oh my — can you please stop talking? You sound like a total idiot, and your rambling is giving me a migraine. So please. Shut. Up.
Sorry, you've mistaken me for that voice in your head...
Well, I’ve always wanted to see Hell. Doesn’t everyone?
Nope. Not me.
I...I don't even know you...
Some say...
You do have yet to defend the inaccuracy of each of your statements that I proven to be inaccurate, so “feeble” is fitting you pretty well actually…*He chuckles* My being an asshole while telling you you’re wrong makes you no less wrong, or was that not obvious? No, you’re just capable of successfully attacking my statement, because nothing you can say will change the fact that it is indeed common knowledge that glasses don’t make you smarter. that being the case, saying glasses don’t make you smarter is a redundant statement. Which technically you didn’t disagree with, as you only tried to dispute the definition of redundant. So yes, you actually were the one to take it to a different perspective. Aww, look who resorts to mudslinging once she realizes half-way through the argument she was wrong. Aren’t you cute? Also I’m actually rather sagacious, but again, you wouldn’t understand that, you know the word in theory not in practice.
That all you got? Cuz I can literally go forever, or until I get bored and turn you into a donkey. Then you can literally be a pompous ass.
Ugh, fine. Think whatever you want, there's no way for me to change your shrewd perspective anyway. You're impossible.
You can't possibly turn me into a donkey. I won't even let you try.
Some say...
No, that’s simply an implied “definition” used by those too weak of mind or understanding to use it’s actual definition. Not to mention there several versions of various dictionaries, all of which are made by the use of several factors, such as consensus and general vernacular. Thus, you are once again, incorrect. Oh, no, not implying by any means, I’m blatantly saying it. As I first said, it’s common knowledge, so saying it serves no purpose, making it indeed redundant, by the word’s definition verbatim. Incorrect, yet again, as I am far from stupid. No, you’re really not, as you’re wrong at every turn, but hey, I’ll allow you to think your literally mundane sense of understanding has some merit, regardless of how much you prove the contrary. I mean, by all means, if you can’t understand the English language, I implore you to solve that bit of a personal problem. But if making my point by some skewed understanding means I’m using flowery words, I apologize for the fact that your feeble mind doesn’t understand.
As far as I've known, those who are feeble are the ones who aren't able to defend themselves without pulling the other one down on a personal level. You make me think the only thing you understand from my statement is contradiction. I am not weak minded nor I am feeble. Was it me who started the name calling? No. Was it me who took the main idea in a profoundly different perspective? No. Just admit you're not capable enough of defending your own statement without name the name tagging. I really hate to break this to you, but you really are stupid person with a hypocritical opinion against glasses and common phrases. You're not as sagacious as you think you are, Sherlock. Although, kudos to you as you have made an entire paragraph without correlation whatsoever so the main thought of the conversation.

"Redundant means and I quote ‘not or no longer needed or useful; superfluous’,not repetitive. So, as I said, it was indeed redundant, thus dismantling the rest of your poorly-formed argument/insult. You done arguing with someone who knows better than you, Mundie? Cuz you’re not doing so well….”
English 101, Redundant doesn't only mean "unnecessary", it could also mean repetitive. The English vocabulary is wide and vast, and it is not to be limited by the dictionary only. Hence, the only person who has formed a poorly-formed argument is you, as you keep implying that what I said is useless and inadequate. A simple sentence, goddammit, who would be idiotic enough to apprehend something so simple differently? I keep forgetting morons still exist even in your world. But to keep things straight, I'm doing quite well, as I seem to sending what I meant in clear canvass, unlike you seem to equate your defense with flowery words.

No, I pointed out the redundancy of you point. None of it needed saying, as in general, people aren’t so stupid as to believe such a thing. Furthermore by saying it, you made it appear that it you saw it as a new or innovative idea that glasses don’t make you smarter, which makes you seem fairly dumb…..See what I mean, now?
"Some say wearing glasses make you smarter... Butt load of crap, I can tell you that." Which part was redundant? I am quite aware I have not repeated anything. I have spoken directly what's in my mind, so the redundancy that you refer ceased to exist at all... Which makes you dumber in a way as you forcefully imply that I mean the other way around. So, no. I do not see what you mean, nor will I see what you mean.
Some say...
Yea, but it’s not too bright of a sentiment, as it’s common knowledge that an object you wear won’t make you smarter
Basically, you've just broadened the main point of my statement, what part of "butt load of lies" did you find hard to apprehend?
"Y’know… I’m not really sure…" Seraphina replied, taking a moment to think.
"Um... nevermind..."
"Erm … this may not be a good time to talk," she said, gesturing to the towel she had wrapped around herself. "But if you give me a minute, I should be free."
"Oh, right... sorry... I was just... looking for someone..."
Some say...
Ah, I see. Though, if you think about it, it sounds as though you think they actually make you smarter
I don't... which is why I was contradicting it on my first statement...
Some say...
Isn’t the saying that glasses make you look smart?
Same principle applies, I suppose.
