I ended up having the pleasure of attending the Sydney climate strike where there was an estimated 80,000 people!!!

Welcome To My TED Talk

Hi anyone or everyone whose reading this I just want to talk about Climate Change real quick. (Btw I’m extremely opinionated and don’t like to be told what to do also, I’m a Taurus sun sign, Virgo moon and Leo rising so I don’t take no shit from nobody and I stand up for what I know and think is right.)

So on the 20th of September (tomorrow) there’s going to be a climate change protest, and I’m not allowed to go because my parents have set some conditions most of which I can agree with but one big one I do not, so these are ones I do agree to; watching my carbon foot print (to prove that I’m not just trying to get a day off school), getting higher grades in science to prove that I have knowledge in that area and I have to go with an adult (even though the whole idea of the protest is that it’s school children ralling against the government so they’ll do something). But the one thing that bothered me and made me so angry was that, that protest would be the only one I’m allowed to go to until I leave school. Now I know that it seems extremely petty and as I write this I see that as I only have two years of school left. However. Climate Change is something that won’t just and isn’t just affecting me, it’s affecting every single person who lives on this Earth, and I feel as though it is my responsibility and right to join in and protest against climate change whenever and wherever these protests are being held no matter how insignificant it may seem or prove to be.

Only just today I watched a video on the affects that climate change will have on the Earth because I wanted to see that total damage that is predicted to happen in 11-13 years time and I’m more scared then I was before (this is the video link if you’re interested).

I’m scared, I know people my age or anyone who can even understand what Climate Change is and will do to us if we don’t fix it is scared. I’m just so incredibly frustrated with adults trying to keep us safe when they aren’t even doing anything to try and help save our future from the impending devistation that climate change might literally rain upon us (most people are doing their best and also supporting the fight but I’m talking about the small percent of people who aren’t ). We’ve already increased the temperature up to 1.5 degrees and it is projected to reach 3 by the end of the century if we aren’t careful and if this behaviour is continued to the next century our existence is done, our time on the Earth will be no more.

To end my rant I want to say if you’re reading this please help support the climate rallies in any way you can post about it on your tumblr, post about it on Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat whatever you have to do to spread the message that it’s getting serious and we need to take action now against Climate Change immediately before our time runs out. Every voice counts, they can’t put the voice of the people on mute eventually we will be heard by the government and the corporations, even if our lungs have been sucked of their life, they will still hear the echoes of our voice ringing like crazy in their empty heads where their brains would be.
