love between vampires can be one thing, or it can be many things. however you want me, i can be that for you. you said you want me to be present as your maker? i can be a maker for you. i want to be your maker. disregard the last 500 years in which i was repulsed by the idea. i don't have any complicated feelings about that at all. you said you want cool vampire powers even though you're a three year old fledgling? i can help you become a daywalker, a skill that apparently takes centuries to develop. you're an investigative journalist, don't you want a scandal on lestat? i can give you a scandal. i want to help you finish that job. lestat fucks his mom. isn't that good? aren't i useful? aren't i worth keeping around?
"Anyone who has ever tried to recount a dream to someone else is in a position to measure the immense gap, the qualitative incommensurability, between the vivid memory of the dream and the dull, impoverished words which are all we can find to convey it: yet this incommensurability, between the particular and the universal, between the vecu and language itself, is one in which we dwell all our lives, and it is from it that all works of literature and culture necessarily emerge."
Fredric Jameson, Imaginary and Symbolic in Lacan
staying up really late is comforting. the world stops expecting things from you. it’s just quiet for a while.
i wouldn't have to deal w all of this if i was a tree
I hope this doesn't lead to the plot of Ivan getting back together with Sonja and Lovro seeing them together
"No one wants to work anymore." Damn right brother. If I could sit in a beautiful field for 40 hours every week of my singular precious life I would
Unrelated but I kinda hate my job rn
nobody in the entire world has ever known what to do with me
I've been thinking about this clip and I've seen the comments about how Lovro's reaction was connected to his parents divorce (I agree and I love all the takes) and I think this clip also shows why he is so strict and clear about not seeing Ivan after everything? Idk how to properly explain this but all his behaviour screams avoidant attachment, ofc he is repressing himself because of the place he lives in but it's also about his family right? He didn't say he liked Ivan when they were on the rooftop he just said what now?, he ignored him in the schoolyard, and didn't reply to his messages because he is like what is the point? It all ends the same, I'm better on my own
lovro in his most childlike form this season!!!! im so glad they’re actually focusing on his parents divorce & the impact it left on him
this comment omg. another one for my tma lovro pile……
I can't say enough how much I like how the show is handling Lovro's very real trauma. How these themes don't fade into the background
I feel so stongly about the last clip, I hope they don't end up together Roko and Nora. I love that she is getting the support she needs from her friends. Roko's shitty behaviour won't change, this is who he is and no apology is enough
idc what anyone says. i think it's important to show girls that a man with unaddressed anger issues but who acts like that only with others and not with you can still turn his anger to you in any second. that's a big red flag and it shouldn't be romanticized irl
the way his eyes widen when he recognizes the severity of the situation - that they aren't just fighting like a normal couple - and sees rokos abusive behaviour instantly for what it is
the way he shuts down and freezes when roko yells at him 💔
eva looking at him for help bc she knows roko will only listen if a man tells him to leave (sigh)
despite freezing (probably because this is all to familiar with his parents), he manages to be strong and stand up to roko, protecting nora and in a way, healing his inner child because he's not a kid anymore and proving to himself he is strong enough to stand up to violence (yes this is a headcannon and maybe a stretch its just how i see it)
despite being bad with words, finding the right ones to console nora and advise her to leave roko and not fall into the cycle of abuse
the amount of depth this two minute clip added to his character, on top of focusing on nora and rokos storyline, and depicting how normalized and common abuse can be in balkan relationships - sram you have outdone yourself.
Why would Lovro even sleep in the street? What is this discourse, he doesn't even have that bad of a relationship with his mother. He likes the flatshare obviously, but what the hell, he's just gonna go home
