“Okay, you know I love to have a little fun, but even I think this is excessive.”
She could barely hear him over the thrumming bass in the song she was dancing to, half naked on top of the bar with alien people tucking paper bills into the waist of her shorts and under the strap of her bra when she knelt low enough for them to reach. Another person was dancing next to her, red lights changing their skin from blue to purple. They were more naked than she was, and when she glanced over, she had trouble understanding their anatomy in her drunken stupor.
Peter moved a martini glass of some foul looking black ooze right before she knocked into it. Her heel snapped down onto the wood where his hand had been only seconds before. The man next to him reached up to grab her ass, and Peter sent him a filthy glare that went unseen. Her reaction was to kick the guy in his pig-like face. Peter didn’t even try to hide his smirk. “That was super hot, but we need to go.” He didn’t know where her shirt had gone. One second she was wearing it, the next it was tossed off into the crowd, never to be seen again.
“Stop being such a buzzkill!” She shouted over the music, eyes closed as she swayed to the rhythm. “I’m dancing!”
“You’re going to regret this in the morning when you sober up.” He glanced warily over his shoulder, searching the crowd for any of this planet’s officers of the peace. “And we really shouldn’t stick around too long.”
She squatted in front of him, using a support beam from the ceiling as a makeshift stripper pole, legs spread to bracket him on either side. He plucked the money out of her clothing and pocketed it, but froze when she reached forward to run a finger down his cheek, across his lips, tucking under his chin to tilt his face up to hers. “Come on, Peter. Have fun with me.”
It was tempting. With the way she was looking at him, his first reaction was to climb up on that bar, but he pushed it down. He leaned in, brushing his nose against hers. “We can have some fun. On the Milano.”
“No, I don’t want to go home!” she whined, and made to stand up again, but Peter wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her off balance. She toppled off the bar and into his waiting arms, accidentally sending several drinks off the side of the counter.
Peter helped her get her feet under her. He ignored the jeers from upset bar patrons covered in various liquid as he tugged her through the crowd towards the entrance. “Well, you’re coming home with me whether you like it or not.”
She wriggled to get away from him, but he was stronger than she was. “Quit it or I’ll bite! I want to dance!”
“Jokes on you, I like being bitten! So, go for it!”
She immediately leaned over and bit his neck. Peter shivered. Her laughter continued, bubbly and infectious, even as they were exiting the bar into the sticky, humid night outside.
