where: lake cleito. when: late afternoon, around 15:45pm. who: open to all.
in between classes, lake cleito was a spot where nell often found she was lured to. deep in thought, she perched on slated rock which faced the water stream. abilities still not rectified from the incident at the barn several month ago, she contemplated practicing but couldn’t trust herself to not lose control regardless of the water being a barrier for a fire as wild as the last to spread further than the rocks in front of her. she was alerted to a presence which came from behind her even before she heard the footsteps, she took out class notes and reviewed them - sun beaming down on her pale complexion, silver jewellery reflecting the rays as she highlighted important cases to remember with hopes of knowing them in time for the next pop quiz. she didn’t react to the other, she was never one to initiate a conversation so instead she remained quiet and shifted her gaze to them every so often momentarily.
LAKE CLEITO IS THE BEST SPOT ON CAMPUS in ivan's opinion. it's his place of choice whenever he chooses to skip classes like today. something about common classes like psychology didn't get his attention and he always came up with excuses to leave the class and not have absences, perks of having a dramatic godly parent who gave you natural acting skills. today he had chosen to pretend he needed some air because his sugar levels dropped, tomorrow he would find another excuse. as he arrives at his spot he notices someone else and he doesn't mind it because he doesn't own the place. however, after a few minutes of silence, Ivan can't take it any longer and decides to break the ice. "are you also skipping class?"

she knows he knew better than this. but she also knows he’s close with iker (damn you, iker), which was the only reason she could assume he was here, had he not confirmed it right after. they’ve done a pretty good job avoiding each other for the past three years alone, but seeing him always makes her feel weird. caught off guard. very un-adelaide. and she hated that. “probably flirting with some poor co-ed or jerking off to gothic literature. he’s not here right now either way. why, what do you want with him?”
HE ROLLS HIS EYES AT HER COMMENT, despite he finds the observation funny. however, not even adelaide's humor is enough to break the tension between them which is fair after what had happened. "he's my friend, i just need to talk to him. that's it." he's unsure how much longer he can stand before her without mentioning the elephant in the room, after all, ivan has never been one to keep it all inside and he's done that for three years. he was given the choice to give his version. "can you tell him I'm looking for him?

"how does it feel having a roommate?" after spending two months stuck in one room with sweaty men, he is grateful he has a room of his own, hell, even if he had to share a room with dax, he'd be happy with that settlement. "anyway, i'm not here to make fun of you, well, i am but i also had another purpose. are you free tonight? they're projecting this polish film at the theatre and i can't think of anyone else that would enjoy it. do you want to go?"

“hi, if you have any questions, i’d be happy to–” she starts her saccharine spiel as she does when a new person approaches, but it’s quickly cut off when she turns to see who is in her library. seeing him dredges up too many emotions for adelaide’s taste. “oh. you. we don’t have any more film books than before. what do you want?”
THE LIBRARY IS THAT ONE PLACE HE NORMALLY AVOIDS, not only because he's not a huge reader but also because adelaide worked there. if he didn't have to urgently talk to iker, he wouldn't be here. staring at his phone to check if his friend has written back, he doesn't realize that is adelaide the one behind the counter until he hears her voice. "uh, yeah, it's me," he babbles and just like that he realizes how adelaide still has the power to make him nervous. "i'm not here for a book, i'm looking for iker, do you know where is he?"

"YOU REALLY NEED TO STOP FUCKING MY SISTERS," ivan says, shaking his head as a long frustrated sigh escapes him. if he had known he had to come back to the civil war that was the dionysus house, he would have stayed back in russia eating questionable food but unfortunately, the lack of communication stop him from finding out all this mess. "it's really hard being your best friend, you know?" if he hadn't known iker for so long, he would have cut him out of his life long ago. while ivan was a son of dionysus, he only liked drama on stage or on the screen, but not in real life. "so, what are you going to do now? and don't expect me to help, i'm switzerland in all this mess."
