I would’ve liked to marry Adam when I was younger and foolish but it wasn’t like I was planning it or even expecting it; there are so many wonderful women in our kingdom, and men, if that was what he was interested in, I’m sure I’d be the last girl he noticed, and I grew at peace with that until it really didn’t matter anymore. I was, thankfully, never at your mother’s level with, um, plans or anything - I like plans, but they’re better for the things you can control, like college schedules and laws to pass in your future kingdom, not things like love. I hope that marriage and everything is a long way off for you all and that everything sorts itself out as neatly as it can, with whomever that entails. Opposites attract isn’t a hard and fast rule, no, but it’s always made sense to me, I don’t know - it was one of the things I told myself when I found myself liking Adam too much, anyway. Would you rather end up with someone similar to yourself or diffferent, if I can ask? Olivia is my sister - siblings mess with each other, it’s our jobs! That’s what friends are for, never letting you hear the end of things! And of course they have to get along with your significant others, otherwise that raises questions about whether your match is truly compatible or not. For instance, if my future boyfriend has issues with Benji living with me, it means he isn’t good enough for me, and vice versa for any girls that find themselves drawn to Benji.

Private: Really? Because I could have seen your parents trying to help arrange it -- not for real because I know everyone believes in true love, but play dates could have been more about you two and less about all of us having to play boardgames together. Congratulations on being a little more realistic with your expectations, although I’m sure it would have all worked out for you in the end like it did for mom, too. Marriage is definitely a long way off for any of us, since we just started high school, so you don’t need to worry your pretty little head about what’s going to happen to us anytime soon. I don’t know, I know it’s not very oldest princess of me but I really haven’t spent a lot of time thinking about what kind of person I want to marry someday? Whatever kind they are, I apparently haven’t met anybody like them yet to feel it. Living with you? Like, before or after you’re married? Because those are two very different scenarios, K.

Wow, Kristina’s really barking up the wrong twin there; I don’t even know where she would’ve gotten that from, I’m almost laughing myself. Never leaving your sight sounds much easier than developing a style or, worse, forcing Eugene to develop one. I’m almost hoping every girl just kind of turns him down so he can move on. It seems an impossible and unhygenic task.

Um, have you met Momsephone? Apparently she and your mom used to be like, judgy friends together, they knew all the gossip apparently, way more than the rest of their game night friends. I don’t know, maybe Kristina would think we were engaged to be engaged and having a trial run of it or something -- wouldn’t that be funny? You should pretend to move out for April Fool’s Day. Misguided attempts at pairing opposites, I guess? I think opposites attract is overrated -- it works for some people, but can you really see it working for them? They’re too wild, they’d drive whoever they were with crazy if they were too calm. Do you really think he’d quit if he got a few nos? People can always change their mind. I secretly think you just like my moms better than me. I haven’t figured out if you’re more of a fan of momma’s gardens or momsephone’s books yet, though, but I’m somehow willing to bet it’s the second one. Please, you’d have your own wing if you moved into Dunbroch, you would be totally easy to avoid if I ever needed space. HA. Did I tell you that Kristina told me she thinks you should marry Janelle? Is it okay that I laughed a lot at your sister’s expense when she said that? Just establish really different styles, I guess? Or never leave my sight, that could help, too. I doubt it’ll be forever, no. I’m sure once he’s slept with every cheerleader on the squad he’ll get bored and go back to normal. Exactly. We’d never be stupid.

If that had happened, though, she would have been my sister in law anyway, and she’s lovely and…. a bit wild, but I suppose that’d make her a good match for Elias, for instance. You are very cool and chill - I wish they sold that in bottles or that you could teach it somehow, because for someone who hails from a land of snow, I lack serious amounts of chill. You’re so sweet! Private: Somehow I don’t think she really cares what anybody but Eugene thinks, but sure, my lips are zipped on the matter. You were just like every other little girl dreaming of being the Queen of all of Auradon, huh? Just please tell me you didn’t have notebooks full of your future life with him or anything the way Momsephone did with King Will. Not that I’d judge too much, but I’d at least judge a little, that’s what Elias and I do best. You... are adorable, you know that, right? I don’t think Elias and Janelle are getting married, either, but just forget I said anything. We’re still just freshmen in high school, this is all such a long way off anyway. I think we said spring break, so by the end of the month, maybe. The parents are too crazy about winter to deny themselves a snowy wonderland, and Darcy loves it, so maybe they’re not wrong and I just haven’t adjusted well enough yet after years and years of switching. Homeostasis is supposed to kick in by now, darnit! Way to make me even more grateful for Janelle than I usually am - Darcy’s too much a part of our family to imagine our dynamic without her, much less imagining her as the royal child. What? She can! As can you, but you know, her accuracy has astounded me since we were children and far more identical. Honestly, I’m not looking forward to this change in behavior, particularly, since every sitcom leads me to believe that I’ll end up dealing with the consequences of his actions in hilarious misunderstandings sooner or later, but I would hate to lose his confidence even more than I hate to see him turn into a “fuckboy”. He’s my brother, and even moreso, my twin - you don’t just give up on family. Don’t tell her I said so, but even Momsephone can be wrong sometimes! Or, at least, I very much hope she is; stability in friend groups throughout high school is imperative to a healthy transition into adulthood and, ultimately, the rest of your life. At least I always have you, right? And as long as you’re a constant, I’m fairly sure we can make it through high school alive and well.

Extreme heats and extreme colds, never a moderate day in sight. No wonder you’re in Dunbroch so often, it’s not going to give you temperature whiplash. I’d visit you a lot less if Darcy were in Auradon City, just in case you were wondering. As much as I love that we seem to be better at it than even your sisters, isn’t it a little sad that they don’t know the two of you better? What are your least favorite things about your twin?

Oh, Beast, where to begin? 

I’m kidding, mainly. Eugene isn’t a bad guy, he’s just a doer, and I’m a thinker. Sometimes those two ways of life clash a little more than I’d like, but that’s the way it goes. I mean, would I complain if he stopped trying to drag me along on hikes, or if he let me stay home more often, or if he stopped begging for me to take tests for him? Definitely not. But he’s my brother and twin loyalty is a thing, so. 

Maybe my least favorite thing is that it’s entirely his fault that I know what I’d look like in socks and flip flops.
