“Oops?” Seth laughed and he quickly shut his mouth when he saw her feet turn into a tail, though he got some water in his mouth because he was in awe. He tried to turn away to avoid the water, but he was already soaked from the amount of water splashed on him.

Just the sight of him getting completely drenched was enough to make Ivy burst into laughter. She restored her legs to their original state wadded a bit closer to shore. “What, too scared to come in here and get some payback? Don’t worry, I’m not like one of those Neverland mermaids, I won’t drown you.” It was meant to be reassuring, but the smirk she wore was purely to mess with him and make him doubt her.

“Oh you did not just do that!” Ivy laughed after having been pushed into the water, her daughter watching from the beach and clearly getting some amusement out of this. Joke was on him though, she thrived in the water. She quickly turned into her mermaid form and used the strength of her tail to send so much water at Seth that he would surely be soaked. “How dare you disrespect the house of Triton!” she added sarcastically.

Leia gaped over at the palace, realizing it was her mother’s home. But at the question, her attention turned back to Ivy and she smiled sheepishly. “Oh, I’m sorry - this is my daughter… Emma.” She said, looking over at the 1 year old in her arms and smiling. She then looked down at Chloe and bent a little to be more at eye level. “Hey there, Chloe…” She said softly, smiling brightly. “Is this lovely lady here your mom?”

Chloe nodded and smiled before wrapping her arms around Ivy’s leg, still a bit shy. It made Ivy laugh as she bent down to ruffle her daughter’s hair. “It’s nice to meet you both. I heard there were other moms at camp, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one doing it.” It was then she took a second to notice Leia’s expression at the palace. “Who is your godly parent?”

Arden didn’t want to disagree with Ivy, but she couldn’t help the tension that remained in her posture. It didn’t hurt to be careful, after all. Still, she couldn’t let the other roam alone so she followed closely, not daring to hide or put away her weapons. “It’s been a couple of hours since I’ve eaten,” she admitted, “but I am a little hungry. Why would…whoever or whatever took us send us to a palace, though?” None of this added up in her head.

Ivy shrugged as they got closer, a small smirk on her lips. “Well, it is Valentine’s Day. Maybe someone out there’s looking to give us a treat. I mean, have you seen anything more beautiful in your life?” she asked while gesturing out to the grounds around them.

“Hey, Chloe,” Leia said softly. She smiled down at the little girl and waved her fingers in hello before looking back up at Ivy and listening. Leia blinked, taken aback. “Ero’s palace? Where him and Psyche live?” She immediately turned to face the huge structure, mouth hanging open. “S-So… Can we go in? They’re not there, are they?” She looked back at Ivy.

Ivy’s eyes widened with excitement at the thought. “I didn’t see them last time but wouldn’t that be amazing? But yeah, I was pretty sure it was theirs. Based on the stories anyways.” Her eyes darted to the adorable little girl in the other’s arms, and she smiled instantly. “So who’s this? And I didn’t catch your name?”

Arden admitted inwardly that this place did seem lovely, but she was still certain that it was a trap. “It is.” Her eyes met Ivy’s at the questions. She still wasn’t used to other campers guessing what she was so easily. “Yes, I am. I don’t know why they would seek us out. But that doesn’t mean we should let our guards down yet. After everything that’s happened, we can’t be too careful.”

Ivy hesitated, she didn’t want this to be dangerous. For once she just wanted something good to happen to them all. “We might as well start in the palace,” she sighed. “Maybe they’ll even have some food, I’m starving,” she added when she felt how hollow her stomach was. She tried to think of the myths she’d heard of, none of the ones she could remember made any mention to something like this. But then, there were so many she couldn’t know them all. Without waiting for an answer, she started walking towards the beautiful structure.

Arden sighed, tensing as she moved around, trying to figure out where the two of them were. The mention of the other girl having a daughter was surprising, but she didn’t allow it to distract her from examining their surroundings. “I’m sure she is all right. I think we have more to be worried about right now, not that her safety is less important.” After the eidolon attack she had been waiting for another attack, and now it seemed that it may already have come. “I am Arden.” She withdrew an arrow just in case. “I think we need to explore wherever we are in order to find a way out.”

Ivy nodded, but still felt apprehensive. “Wherever we are, it sure is beautiful though, isn’t it?” She didn’t fool herself into thinking that meant it was safe, but she really didn’t sense any danger around her. “You’re a hunter, aren’t you? Maybe this place isn’t bad at all...if it was an attack why would they only take the two of us?” She hoped it wasn’t another attack, she was still recovering from having an Eidolon in her brain.

Leia turned at the sound of a woman’s voice, Emma still in her arms. Her expression and posture didn’t relax until she also started to recognize the woman and noticed the little girl in her arms. The daughter of Psyche relaxed her shoulders, accommodating her 1 year old with a small bounce. “Probably not in a meeting, but I’ve been there really often… Sorry, what’s your name? And- where the hell are we?” She asked. She glanced back over to the little girl, expression noticeably softening. What was going on?

Ivy sighed, she was so bad at faces. “I’m Ivy, daughter of Triton. And this is Chloe,” she motioned to the 2 year old at her feet. She tried to be as reassuring as she could. “It’s ok, I was brought here earlier actually. I think it’s Eros’ palace? I’m not really sure but it’s basically a spa where you can have anything you want. I was only here for an hour last time, it must be some kind of Valentine’s Day thing. All things considered.”

Arden sat upright once she registered that she was awake, hands immediately scrambling for her bow and arrows. Her daggers were still attached at her belt, thankfully, so she wasn’t unarmed in case this was a kidnapping.  Realizing someone was talking to her, Arden glanced over her shoulder to meet the other’s gaze. “No. I do not recognize this place. Do you remember anything?”

Ivy shook her head, eyes darting around them as she tried to place them. “No, I just remember waking up here and that it’s Valentine’s day.” She brought a hand up to her face and pushed back her hair. “My daughter must still be at camp...I hope someone’s watching her.” Of course she knew someone would, as a head of cabin she had gotten to know a few good people already. “I’m Ivy, might as well get that out of the way while we try and figure out how to get back.”

The moment Leia’s eyelids fluttered open in the morning of Valentine’s Day, a strange physical force overcame her. It resembled the feeling of being shadow-traveled somewhere. When she blinked the sleepiness out of her eyes and and got her bearings, she was lying on the grass outside a marvelous, surreal looking castle. She flinched and backed away on the ground, shocked and confused. It was at that moment she noticed Emma was picking at the grass right beside her. “Emma,” she gasped. Immediately, the mother took her daughter into her arms and got up. “Hello?!” She called. There was a bit of wariness in her tone and her eyes started to narrow. Wherever she was and whoever was there, Leia had already become immediately defensive for her daughter. That was never good news for anyone.

Ivy woke up for the second time that day, blades of grass around her head. A groan escaped her as she realized she’d been sent back to this place. Not that it wasn’t wonderful, but she didn’t have her daughter there before. Luckily then she heard the soft giggle she knew so well. Ivy smiled as she sat up and extended her hands to her daughter, bringing Chloe in for a hug. Looking past them, she saw a similar sight to what they must look like now. She followed the sound of Leia’s voice and held Chloe’s hand as they walked over. “Hey, Leia right? I think I saw you at a meeting in the big house?” she smiled, realizing the other must be as scared as she was the first time.

Ivy felt dazed as she woke up somewhere she definitely hadn’t closed her eyes in. Looking around she was overcome with confusion, then panic when she realized her daughter wasn’t there with her. She did notice someone else there, thankfully, so she turned to the other with exasperation. “Do you know where we are? I should be at camp right now.”

“That’s good to hear. It would heal pretty fast with the best food in Camp even with minimal godly food,” he said as he walked to the table to put the container on. “And of course, I got it for you and your daughter. Would you need anything else, by the way? I can get it for you since you’re taking care of your little girl.”

“Thanks, but I think we’re good for now. Company is nice though, I don’t want to go out and do too much so I can heal faster, but since Chloe’s father left and I don’t have siblings, I’m with her 24/7,” Ivy smiled. She wasn’t complaining, it was more of an explanation for why she wasn’t so social. She walked towards the table and took out two plates and set them down. “So were you anyone else’s big hero too?”

Poseidon and Gaia

Poseidon: What’s your favorite sea creature?

“Seahorses. Have you ever seen a video of a male seahorse giving birth? It’s crazy cool.”

Gaia: Where’s your favorite place in the world?

“The beach by my house. My daughter is happiest there and I love to see her smile. She has the best laugh when she runs up to the edge of the water and the waves come splashing her feet.”

“Honestly? No. No one I know personally anyways. I guess if I start disliking someone I just don’t let them in my life anymore, I’ve been lucky in that way.”

“You`re welcome,” he said, entering the cabin. “I brought you some food. It`s not much, since I could only get a few from the Dining Pavillion to cook them myself. How`s your arm now, by the way?”

Ivy shrugged her good arm, smirking. “It’s good, healing pretty well apparently. It’s a little sore but I’m pretty sure that’s the best possible outcome. Thanks for the food, it’s been hard watching my daughter with one less usable limb, I don’t think I’ve eaten in a while,” she chuckled. “Wanna share it?”

Besides the occasional visit the Big House and other duties in helping re-build the camp, Bella hardly left her cabin lately. The overwhelming guilt of having done so much damage to their home and to so many of it’s residents had left her a bit reclusive.

The daughter of Poseidon was wiping some color from her face after having come back from painting at the stables. The door of the cabin she’d accidentally left open began to creek and she looked behind her with the mirror to see who it was. “Hello,” she said, still sounding as friendly as always despite how tired she was.

Ivy felt guilty ever since she had been possessed, but more than anything she was scared of what she might have done if she hadn’t been stopped. She had heard someone from the Poseidon cabin had also been possessed, so she thought of all the cabins, maybe this would be the best person to talk to. She knocked on the already open door, peeking in to see who was inside. 

“Um, hi,” she answered quietly before clearing her throat. “We haven’t really met yet but, are you Bella? I heard you had been possessed too...I just don’t know anyone else who was who would understand.”

After almost a whole day of sleeping (he did summon a few skeletons and shadow traveled several times during the whole attack), Seth finally felt alive again. Everyone’s life forces shifted constantly but he was at ease now that it was over and everyone had been found (hopefully). He had also made sure to check for his siblings first, especially the youngest daughter of Hades, before he proceeded to look for his friends. Some ghosts had followed him around, relaying news of who were hurt and who were possessed. Seth thanked them for it, his way of respectfully telling them that it was time to leave him alone. One of the friends he had to see was the daughter of Triton. He was the one who had brought her in the middle of the woods, after all, and he also wanted to know how her daughter was doing. “Ivy? Hey,” Seth greeted, holding a small container of food.

Ivy hadn’t needed to spend much time in the infirmary, she mostly just got stitched up, bandaged, then sent back to her cabin to rest. When she heard Seth at her door, she had been sitting on the couch while her daughter napped in her room. She smiled as soon as she saw him, waving him in with her good arm. “Hey, come in! I’m so glad to see you, I didn’t get a chance to thank you for saving me yet.” She hated to think of what would have happened if he hadn’t been there to stop her.
