Editing screen caps from the movie Howl’s Moving Castle to make the colors more accurate to the book’s descriptions, because I miss Sophie’s red hair and Howl’s unsettling glass-green eyes. Plus quotes and stuff. One day, I’ll do this properly, and do accurate-to-the-book actual illustrations and story elements, but for now, we have photoshop.

Howl swung his sleeve in front of her face. “Uh-uh. Don’t be nosy.”

“I’m not being nosy!” Sophie protested, “That room-”

“Yes, you are nosy,” said Howl, “You’re a dreadfully nosy, horribly bossy, appallingly clean old woman. Control yourself, you’re victimizing us all.”

Oops. Someone stop me before I do the whole book. Just kidding, everyone enable me until I throw away my life doing the whole book. Also kidding, I can’t do the whole book. Probably. Whatever. I just miss the Howl who was actually scary and heartless at times instead of just vain and the Sophie who was literally “CLEANLINESS OR DEATH. FIGHT ME HOWL I’M OLD I PROBABLY ONLY HAVE 2 YEARS LEFT TO LIVE ANYWAY” as Calcifer and Michael were literally begging her ‘dear god please stop cleaning you’re literally destroying our lives’ (as a pretense to search the castle in order to find a way to break her spell or Calcifer’s contract and also take out pent up rage about the whole ‘being turned into an old woman thing’ but still).
