TOGETHER TOGETHER, LONDON NIGHT 2
I don't
i don't i’m too shy to tell you how i feel
so i’ll hide behind timid smiles and soft hellos
i’m afraid if i ask you
“what do you think of me?”
your reply will be “i don’t.”

so apparently these are my favorite characters
Winona Ryder saying she was not attractive in the 80s and David Harbour respectfully disagreeing
Chrissy could've easily been a forgettable character. Like the characters at the beginning of a Supernatural episode that die in order to introduce the plot.
But... despite being troubled and tortured by a mother who taunted her and called her all these horrible names, triggering her ED, Chrissy was sweet and didn't take out her anger or frustration on anyone. She could've easily been the token mean cheerleader who "got what she deserved in the end" but she wasn't. And I LOVE the fact that ST didn't go for that. They made her layered and incredibly complex character that we empathized with.
(The scene where she talks to Eddie and they both become little kids again, lost in the memory of what it meant to be innocent and wild and free.) 💔
And I think, THAT'S the saddest part about her death. She just wanted to feel okay. She wasn't taking drugs to get some kind of high for cheerleading or for the sake of getting high. She genuinely wanted everything to be okay again. And you could tell from her little conversation with Eddie that she was headed in the right direction (not drug-wise) but maybe Eddie could've been that friend to help her up when she was down.
She deserved a chance.
RIP Chrissy.
