A Nintendo fan wrote to Satoru Iwata in 2013, and that fan has now shown Iwata's reponse to the world. It's as wise and encouraging as you'd expect.

This next series of posts is going to be something a little different for Game in Japanese, but I hope you enjoy it all the same. I’m going to be posting my translation of the Iwata Asks column featuring Akitoshi Kawazu. The initial conversation was posted across 6 pages so I’ll be posting them one …
A FAN IS TRANSLATING AN IWATA ASKS FEATURE THAT NEVER SAW RELEASE OUTSIDE OF JAPAN.
Please, take a look!

You will not be forgotten. Thank you for everything, Mr. Iwata.

Satoru Iwata Anniversary.
December, 6th. This would be the date of Satoru Iwata's anniversary. Our unforgettable president would be 58 years old. Wherever you be now, know that you never will be forgotten. In this day we thank to you for everything you did for games industry and everything you did for let our lives more fun and happy. Thank you for giving us your last present: Nintendo Switch. Happy birthday, master Satoru Iwata. Eternal president of Big N. We miss your smile, we miss your memes, the Nintendo Directs with you. We miss you, so much.
Do not forget that Nintendo Switch is the last present from Satoru Iwata for us. Thank you, president.
Nice tribute!
Upon learning of Satoru Iwata’s death in 2015, the Nintendo Duo decided to race as his Mii on Mario Kart 8… only to run into a whole bunch of people doing the same thing. (Kez is Green Iwata on the Biddybuggy and Mxy is Blue Iwata on the B-Dasher.) We got as many as 10 Iwatas at the same time, though we couldn’t save that particular race. Please understand.
Beautiful tribute.
A man who looks like the late Satoru Iwata will tell you about the Lord Of The Mountain. If you go to Satori Mountain and find this pond, you will see the Lord Of The Mountain.
Satori Mountain.
Satoru Iwata.
This is a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man.
~Never forget~ {R.I.P Satoru Iwata}
Bless this man’s soul
(Just finished BoTW a second time and saw his name, which made me shed a tear in both sadness and happiness, because without this man, my childhood would not have been the same. I’m thankful for everything he’s done for some of my most favorite games ever.)
Satoru Iwata’s name in credits of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a strong candidate of GOTY. The president supervised much of the development of the game shortly before dying. Iwata san, you will never be forgotten. May the gods bless you, including the godness Hylia. Rest in peace, president. Thanks for everything.
