As far as Beatriz was concerned, Gotham was the most boring city she’d ever stepped foot in && seeing that she came from a place that served to keep her locked up, under observation 24/7, that was saying SOMETHING. It wasn’t that she disliked Gotham — if anything, Beatriz liked being there. It was a nice change of pace from what she was used to dealing with, what she was used to having to weave around to get results. But the days where long, && Grayson had given her specific instructions not to leave his stupid building unless absolutely necessary
Sure, she had Rachel to keep her company, whom she loved dearly, but with week after week of the same exact situation, things got to be a little unbearable. She wanted out, even if it was just for a moment.
“Isn’t there anything fun to do around here?” She asked the other girl, lifting her head from where Beatriz had been lying on the couch && watching some television. “Somewhere to go... people to meet... you know. Fun?”

She pauses, a loud breath slipping past her lips as she looks down at the ground; frown, which she wore, now turning into a noticeable grimace.
“No, you know what? I’m not going to give you some half assed apology because I’m not, I can’t bring myself to be sorry. He was a good fuck, what else can I say? I did it. I slept with your boyfriend. Get the fuck over it.”
“ You know what I like, Gemini? I like the fact that you're so FUCKED UP that you won't even pretend to be sorry for what you've done. You RUINED my LIFE, & now you're acting EXACTLY like the monster we both know that you are. Well, when you see Nick in HELL, you can go ahead and FUCK him all that you like. His hand pressed against the soil below his feet, crouched as he felt it’s texture & basked in it’s… difference, from any cold metal surface that he had ever felt before. Words could not even begin to describe the feelings within him, so he didn’t even bother to form them; it was all just something else, an amazing feeling he’d only ever experienced a few times before.
Then he heard her speak, a voice that he’d recall as well as the attitude behind it. Dick knew it was more than slightly likely that he remembered her much better than she did he, with the crush he’d sported for well over the amount of time that it should have been allowed to have a crush on someone you had almost never had an entire conversation.
“Too bad there wouldn’t have been anyone to tell you, then. According to our families, both of us are still on the Ark.”
His words were very clearly still laced with bitterness, yet it all vanished once he got to his feet & turned to look at her. Neither of them were to blame, but if they were expected to live down there long enough to recolonize the planet, then it would be good to have an ally down below.
“ hey, it's a step up from what my sister wanted me to be; —— which is, you know, dead. or something like that. ”
she smiled, despite their situation, because she'd never honestly thought she'd see such a familiar face; the face of one person she had never had any hatred towards, someone she knew was as tied to the responsibilities to keeping the Ark safe. so many feelings engulfed her in that moment, joy & relief & simply happiness. it was a good feeling, a safe feeling.
there was no hesitation as she reached out, arms snaking across his figure into a hug that left no space between them. they were alive, all of them, and no matter what came next she wouldn't dare let the negative emotions control all that she was. this was too much of relief, being as far away from her sister in what seemed to be a paradise of sorts.
a laugh ringed past grinning lips as she stayed, not daring to let go of him because he was the one thing that tied her to this good feeling that she felt.
“ you don't know how good it is to see you again. ”
“You were in love with him, and we weren’t a thing; it was just—— something temporary, he missed you and the grief clouded everything that we were. But both of us focused so much on the human side of us that when we ignored the feelings in favor of the animal instinct that what we knew was inside of us… look—— we were sure you were gone.”

The glare she wears is lethal, the words Gemini speaks aren't ones she wants to hear.
“I didn't ask you to fuck him, I never even asked you to look after him. Both of you are the reason I was dead in the first place, & what's worse is that I still love him. I---- I slept with him after I came back and---- how am I supposed to be okay with any of this?”

She leans into the other because really, it was second nature. Rachel would cut ‘s hands off if they touched her- but not Bea. Never Bea.
“Good. After the Court, I didn’t think anything would make me feel like you make me feel.”
A giggle passe her lips as she parts from Rachel, with a playful smile that can easily be heard in her tone. “Come on, let’s get you out of those clothes and maybe into some other ones. Though I think it’s optional.”
