10. Swimming Lessons for Mermaid
It’s a really enjoyable webtoon with cute characters.
9. Super Secret
It’s simple, but CUTE AF. The story focuses on a werewolf boy and a human girl he loves, and they’re such a CINNAMON ROLLS. I love it!
8. A Good Day to be a Dog
Despite the fact that the synopsis sounds ridiculous: “Schoolteacher Han Hana has a curse inherited from her predecessors - whenever she kisses someone, she turns into a dog.”, the webtoon is pretty well-written and super entertaining.
7. SQ: Begin with your name!
Slice of life manhua with a lot of silly, cute, comedic moments. The characters are hilarious and their relationships are a one big goal. Definitely worth reading. Unfortunately, the chapters are freaking short so if you start reading it now, you will read everything available in 15 minutes. Fortunately, it’s still on-going.
6. A Guide to Proper Dating
It’s so adorable! At first I thought it will be boring, but I was soooo wrong! I’m hooked. #teamyooyeon.
5. A Falling Cohabitation
Female Lead is such an amusing character. This webtoon is such a meme, seriously. It makes me cry because I can’t stop laughing. I got abs from giggling.
4. White Blood
It shouldn’t really be in a list of romances cuz it’s mostly an action webtoon with vampires as a main topic. The romance is strongly secondary, so why did I put this one in this ranking? Cuz love is still an important topic here.
So about this manhwa: THE ART IS FUCKING AMAZING! And the female lead is SUCH A BADASS, I LOVE HER. You won’t be disappointed, cuz it’s a one heckin gold.
3. Cheese in the Trap
I’m a big fan of this one. The mystery, the psychological issues there are really intriguing. When you see this, you think that it’s going to be another somehow childish love triangle story taking place in a college in a slice of life webtoon. But when you read this, already from the beginning, you start to notice that it’s going to be a MATURE, EXTREMELY and THOROUGHLY well-written story that definitely isn’t like other romantic stories in school setting. The art improves over the years, so if you don’t like it at first, don’t worry - it only gets better.
2. Yumi’s Cells
It’s really great. It’s definitely not your typical romantic webtoon. One of the best comics. It’s something like the movie “Inside Out”, but better lol.
1. My Student Can’t Be a Psychopath
It’s such a mix of genres. I thought it will be a silly romance between a student and the school nurse, but then it turned out to be something like a thriller, but then the hilarious comedy shows up, and when you feel like it’s going to be just dumb and light webtoon, the mystery and psychology beats you to a pulp. It’s gripping till the end and the psychological issues makes you mindfucked. It portrays our cruel reality pretty well. It makes you feel terrible and turns you to a wrack, but when the comedy shows up you spit out your lungs because of the laugh. I would not suggest this one if someone feels triggered about: bullying, negligence, pedophilia, suicide, murder, self harm, PTSD, domestic abuse, cuz it touches this topics more and less skillfully.
Still waiting for second season…
