An entire business style report on a stupid angsty AU about a little green bitch (this took me eons)

Hi, I'm Zim, the author of this blog! You can check out my main blog @zimthesilly, I'll be posting most of my art there!!! Before reading this, I would like to make a few things clear.

I am an adult. As of this post, I am 20 years old. I will post content that is not intended to be viewed by minors, and that content will be labeled as such.

This is more of an original story told with pre-existing characters. While the canon lore does still exist, it has been majorly rewritten.

Publishing this will not be a quick process, as I'm quite busy irl. I'll be writing this in the form of a fanfiction first. Once I have enough figured out I will eventually publish a comic which follows the same story, using the fanfic as a guide for the script. I also plan to make several animatics.

This AU contains some themes that may be triggering to some people, this includes shipping (primarily ZaDR and Za2R), sex and nudity, use of drugs and alcohol, vomiting (to help me cope with emitophobia), gambling, addiction, mention of religion, violence, fighting, bloog and gore, character death, and mention of things like sexual assault and domestic violence (not in detail or onscreen, but it's part of a main character's backstory). These themes are not intended to be romanticized, I'm using them either to help me cope with real-life trauma, to address a real-world problem or for character development and plot.

I do NOT write NSFW or suggestive scenes with characters under the age of 18. While not all characters used in these scenes are canonically adults, they are aged up to 18 or older.

I refuse to take part in any form of drama. If you dislike my work, just block me instead of starting a fight over a fanfiction about a cartoon. If you do choose to start drama of any sort, I will block you. With that said, I am very accepting of constructive criticism and actually condone that you give it.

Now, with that said, let's talk about the AU!!!

Invader Zim: Multiverses of Doom is both a rewrite, and what if AU. The plot starts with Zim finally cracking under the pressure and giving up on The Almighty Tallest after one more failed attempt to impress them, which leads to him having to save the world in order to survive. Finally, Dib convinces him to assume a normal human life and join him in his rebellion against the Irken Armada.

After teaming up with Dib, it's discovered that his attempt to destroy the other timelines in the Zimvoid has failed, as a paradox caused it to backfire. Quite a few familiar faces from comic issues 46-49 return, along with some new and exciting characters. It's discovered that they've actually taken our protagonists side. Now, it's up to Zim, Dib and GIR to clean up paradoxes, and justify crimes across the multiverse that were an affect of Zim's attempt to destroy them, and Zib's messing with the timeline in the first place. Old and new friends are here to help in this wacky adventure!

Sideplots will unravel as the stars of the show uncover mysteries, discover their true selves, and find themselves in the intergalactic war against the fallen hive... meanwhile, the tyrannical blue bloods (a trio of broken Zims from the most dangerous timelines) wish to fulfill their journey of conquering the multiverse.

I talk a lot about Dib and his family having a Toronto accent in the au but no matter what I feel like it's extremely out of place when I try to build his voice for my planned comic dub.

I'm not really sure what I should do... sometimes I think I should just let him have a neutral accent, sometimes I think I should keep the thick accent and sometimes I debate on changing the location because it feels out of place but then there's so much lore about it taking place in Toronto...

If anyone can give me some advice on what to do in this situation or even a basic opinion please give me your word on it because I have no clue what to do about it.

I was trying to come up with what Vortian sounds like and wound up basing it on the made up language used in the Coraline soundtrack... which is just French sounding gibberish. Turns out it's pretty easy to make up on the spot, so here's a transcript from a random roleplay (not using the actual screenshots cuz the texts were mega spread out 😭)

Yes, the words have meaning except the first line of text was kind of speed written so it has no real grammar. So here's a list of what I was able to come up with

Vorcienne - Vortian

Nau - No

Por'jie - Because

Au - ???

Mein - My (sounds German tbh)

Texiale - Keyboard (actually for this because of the Spanish word Teclado)

Frequant - Frequent, often

Ocorrecion - Correct(s), also used for autocorrect

Et'q - It's (It would be Et)

Dible - Driving, as in driving someone to do something

Mi - me

Ensan - Insane

Riqe - Real

Slech - very, extremely, so

Idioque - Stupid, idiotic

Yeah basically it was between Lard Nar and Zim who were complaining about their keyboard autocorrecting to the wrong language... but I'm not entirely sure what the first text was meant to say 😭

I want to inform everyone that my seizures have been making it increasingly difficult to keep up both my main blog and my side blogs. Unfortunately, these seizures seem to be growing more and more frequent and are becoming somewhat unpredictable. While I will still try my best to keep up my blogs, please do not expect a specific schedule for new content to come out on any of my blogs unless I directly specify.

I am still working on all of my projects, don't be afraid that they might disappear. I just will be working on them during in-between times so it's easier for me to prevent my focal aware seizures from becoming full tonic seizures.

I can't thank all of you enough for supporting me through this and being patient for the release of new content and project updates. It means the world that you are all so loyal and understanding that you are willing to wait far longer between any kind of new content than the would with most other creators.

I feel far more than lucky to have this many people, even if my fan base is very small, that try to be there for me in the toughest of times and still enjoy my blogs through all of this mess.

Thank all of you so much for this and for being who you are. I love all of you and seeing your reactions to my art, my stories, etc. is the light of my day. /p

I finally did it!!! I finally got the first page of the comic produced after more than a year!!! I'm actually trying not to cry right now, this is the biggest achievement I think I've ever made in my life as an artist.

Thought it was time that I finally make a design for Sizz-Lorr. I like the way he came out!!! His low in my au is so extensive it's actually insane. That said, most of it would should some extremely important parts of the au. So, it will be revealed when the time is right.

And yes I know, he doesn't have a dash I'm his name, I just added that cuz I liked the way it looked. Sue me.

BY THE WAY I FORGOT THE HEIGHT METER FOR RED AND PURPLE, they're both 7'2, so 2 inches taller than Sizz-Lorr

FINALLY got the ref sheet for Purple done... holy smokes that took forever.

A little context about him having royal blood, I've decided that Irkens are not cloned, instead a female has to donate an egg and a male donate his... you know. So, all Irkens have biological parents. Those who were created in a lab are considered orphans and will either be adopted or trained to be super soldiers.

Once the AU is finished and I have the comic made, I'm actually planning on making a fandom wiki for the AU with pages dedicated to each character, place, etc. Don't expect this any time in the next future, I need to get my shit together first.

The majority of characters in my AU do NOT talk like they do in canon. This is very heavily intended to be a completely different multiverse than the canon show takes place in. Characters have different accents, different voice pitches, etc.

I'll give you some examples!

Zim: His voice has the same scratchiness, but it's lower and quite monotone. This is mostly because he's an adult in this timeline whereas I tend to see him as being 12 or so in canon. He also has an Eastern Irlen accent which sounds almost Scandinavian. Despite this, the culture of Eastern Irk is based on a sort of mashup of India and Iran.

GIR: Sounds quite similar to canon, his personality changed far more than his voice.

Dibberto "Dib" Membrana: Has a thick Toronto accent, which has heavy Caribbean influence. Essentially, he sounds kind of Jamaican. He's lost a lot of the awkwardness from his voice as, like Zim, he's an adult. However, he suffers from nasal valve collapse. This causes him to have a sort of stuffy sound to his voice. Fun fact: he wears a fake nose piercing which is actually a nasal dilator. This helps him breathe and his voice to be a little less stuffy.

Gazlene "Gaz" Membrana: Has the same accent as Dib, her voice is quite monotone like canon. However, she picked up a Spanish influence from her father

Processor Gilberto "Gil" Membrana: Has a heavy Toronto accent with a Spanish influence, causing it to sound more like Caribbean Spanish than typical Toronto English.

Tallest Red: Has a Western Irken accent (essentially California English), his voice is similar to canon but with a sort of emotionless deadpan tone to it. As he has severe ptsd, it can be hard for him to show emotion unless he's genuinely happy.

Tallest Purple: Sounds pretty much the same as canon, but his voice is slightly lower and more serious. However, his voice can become overly expressive and whiney at times.

Tallest Spork: Sounds less like Kermit the Frog, actually his voice is somewhat similar to Tallest Red.

Tallest Miyuki: Has a Central-Northern Irken accent (essentially British) with Southwest influence (similar to Japanese)

Skoodge: Has a very soft, quiet voice with a Western Irken accent. Can only raise his voice if he's extremely angry, which is about as common an occurrence as finding a raw uncut diamond in a McDonald's play place.

Sizz-Lorr: His voice is extremely low and almost not expressive at all unless he's extremely angry, at that point he can become verbally violent and extremely expressive. He keeps the same accent.

Lard Nar: Has an intellectual sounding London English accent, his voice is lower than before with a more suave sound to it.

And those are just a few examples... there's a lot of differences here. 😅

You know what? Maybe making more reference sheets will get my motivation back just a little bit... I want so badly to get back into writing Multiverses of Doom it's driving me crazy loco...

Hey, long time no see... I have a confession to make. The entire reason I never made the comic, even after promising over and over again is because, well... bed rotting and clinical depression has gotten the best of me. I kept promising to do it because I genuinely thought if I put pressure on myself, I'd get it done. That never worked.

I want so badly to start work on it, but my perfectionist ocd always says "no, it doesn't look right... the backgrounds aren't realistic enough, this part looks terrible, you should give up" AND I'M SO TKEED OF IT MAN!!!

I feel like I should just start it out of spite and try to use it as an excuse to stop bed rotting and doing literally nothing productive at all. If anyone has advice to get me out of this rut that would be great because I'm lost for action here. 😭

So I finally drew Zim having a seizure like I said I would... and holy shit I went all out of this piece 😭

This is based directly on something that happened irl, actually the seizure that caused me to be diagnosed with epilepsy. I had blood all over me because I not off part of my tongue. And I was lucky enough for that to happen in 2020!!! Literally the worst year of my life.

So long story short, Zim has tonic epilepsy because I have it irl and Zim is my punching bag 👍

CW Pretty heavy vomit mention

A little warning, there is a pretty heavy use of vomit in this AU. I have a weak stomach and vomit extremely easily irl, especially if I'm upset. So, I tend to project that onto my characters.

For some examples, Number 2 has GERD (gastral esophageal reflux disease), a condition I have irl which causes stomach acid to get into the esophagus and can make you vomit because of it, as well as cycling vomiting syndrome which causes a person to have cycles where they repeatedly vomit and can be hospitalized because of it. She also frequently vomits because of CPTSD attacks.

Dib has a panic disorder that causes him to vomit when he's having an attack

Zim vomits when he has seizures (something that happened to me as a kid)

I shouldn't have to point it out, but I do. No, this theme will never be fetishized in the story. I am quite uncomfortable with the theme in that context.
