Dear me, silence is not a song you should know all the words to.

Destruction can be beautiful to some people. Donât ask me why. It just is. And if they canât find anything to destroy, they destroy themselves.

my mother looks at me & sees my fatherâs mistakes (plural noun; fragmented families donât know how to coexist). my father looks at me & sees everything i used to be (noun: innocent & soft hearted). my brother looks at me & sees the worst of my parents (verb; shaking, hurting, burning); he looks at me & sees the only thing in our family that might get out alive. i look at myself & see a monster (noun; blood hands & a venomous mouth & a failing heart).
and iâve failed them all ; p.v.s. (via sarchengseys)

âGood, because so can I. Iâm starving,â Victor replied. He contemplated holding his hand out to help his sister up off the ground but figured that sheâd probably give him a cold look before pushing herself up of the ground. He turned to walk down the aisle, making his way towards the front of the library so he could check out his book at the front desk. Of course though; with his luck, the one and only person in front of him in the line was checking out an entire stack of books. An annoyed sigh passed his lips, âSeriouslyâŚâ he mumbled under his breath, turning his head to the side to see if his sister had joined him yet.
No concerns were expressed regarding her brotherâs departure. It almost had been as if heâd never even spoke to her. For a frame of time, she still sat on the floor as if really debating whether joining him or not. The outcome of course, was generosity from her part. Books were stored in her bag, and an effort was finally made to follow her sibling. Though her steps were rather slow and lethargic. It was done intentionally, of course. Every single little thing she did had a purpose and this was one of them. She only caught up to him as he formed the line for the books. âIâd say leave it.â Isobel suggested, not expecting to wait ages for a stupid book. âYou could always come back for it later, is your hunger more important or is it the book?â.

what is their relationship with their mother like?
isobel has always been in good standing with her mother. there are obvious fights here and there, but usually just silly stuff. overall, she cares for her mother and will do anything to be perfect in her eyes even if that means throwing her brother under the bus.
what is their relationship with their father like?
out of both parents, isobel enjoys their company a bit more mainly because she sees the similarities between them and they could be together without saying a single word and still understand each other indirectly.Â
If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?
isobel would be quick to she had something to do with it, she is very hard on herself at times. she though could blame others if they actually had a matter in it, or just for the sake of being an asshole.
What does your character like in other people?
intelligence.Â
What does your character dislike in other people?
stupidity.

Sherlock walked up the few steps that led from the door to the living area of his family home. He had just finished tending to the bees and was in the mood for a tea. Upon walking up the stairs, he saw his daughter sitting on a chair reading a book and he was reminded of something he had to tell her. A small smile formed on his lips; one that only a proud father could give their daughter when they reminded them of themselves. Each of his children had similarities to him, but Isobel was far better at deducing things than her brother or so he preferred the world to believe. âI was just going remind you that your cousins were paying a visit today. Should be over within the hour.â
Unfazed. The element of surprise was long gone, Isobel had suspected guests would arrive. Her motherâs obsession with keeping everything respectable and tidy only gave it away, that and the smell of a freshly made meal. âWell, thatâs bound to be interesting.â Not. There was absolutely nothing against her cousins, for that matter. She tolerated them, to say the least. But company and socializing wasnât exactly how sheâd planned her day to go. âAs long as the boys donât start something, Iâll be fine.â Those two were a force to be reckoned with when together. It could drive her a bit nuts.
@bakerstreetsconsultingsociopath
The silence in the room was disrupted by heavy steps. Judging by the pace, it was a man; a familiar one. It only took a few more seconds to take in his peculiar scent. Those two factors were the only thing she needed to realized that her father had entered the room, all while pristine blue hues stared at the book before her. He would be proud by her little deductions, or so she hoped. âWhat is it youâre going to tell me?â. She asked, eyes never glueing off her not so interesting book.
victorholmes:
âIâll make sure not to throw it in anyones general direction,â Victor replied, a small laugh passing his lips. He grabbed the book in question and looked at his sister. The two werenât as close as most siblings were, at least that was how he felt and sometimes he wished he could change that. He stood up, Â âI was going to grab something to eat after heading out of here, want to come or do you want to continue trying to burn your eyes out?â he asked.Â
As expected, all plans to try out the little experiment completely vanished the moment food was thrown into the equation. If she were to be honest, throughout the entire day sheâd forgotten to consume food of any kind. No snacks, no protein filled meals, no liquid intake. It wasnât until then that she realized how truly famished she was. Books - they had universes within universes buried deep in the form of infinite small letters and numbers, that sometimes, Isobel couldnât help but get lost in them. It was often that she forgot about reality, which at times could be a little problematic. Some mistook it for introverted tendencies, daydreaming - only it wasnât. Isobelâs mind was always in constant movement, trying to decipher things that truly bothered her. âThat doesnât sounds too bad, I could benefit from a bit of food.â

victorholmes:
If there was one thing Victor never understood, it was how to talk to his sister. Sometimes she had her good days and sometimes she had her bad, he wasnât sure just yet what sort of day she was having but he was beginning to believe it was the latter. He stared across from him at a bookcase and picked a shelf, his eyes reading over every title as he contemplated leaving his sister be. He was about to push himself up off the ground when he heard her speak again. Victor turned to look at his sister, âYeah..about five minutes into reading a book. Two or less if itâs extremely boring,â he replied, before nodding down to his book. âLike this one. I give it thirty seconds after opening it before I throw the book across the room.â
âWell, that wouldnât be a very nice thing to do. That can be a bit - hazardous.â Isobel was confident that a single book could cause a possible concussion if it landed on someoneâs head. It would likely be a very idiotic way to go, though that was far from possible or was it? One never knew. A look of wonder took over her face as she tried to imagine the possible scenario, part of her almost wanted her brother to literally throw the book across the room to factor in what would actually happen with little to no disregard about the victimâs fate. It was all for science, after all, there was bound to be a bit of human sacrifice. But seeing the current state of her brother, that wasnât bound to happen, not in this very instant. What a shame.Â
The flowers were so beautiful, so delicate and unthreatening, but they choked everything around them.

victorholmes:
Victor shrugged his shoulders at his sisters question as he placed his own book down beside him. âI donât knowâŚI usually do if I get pissed off enough,â he told her. Except that wasnât necessarily the truth, there were times when he was like Isobel and he grew frustrated enough to want to continue with something if he didnât get it. Victor picked up his sisters book and surveyed it. âSo whatâs the problem with it then?â he asked, opening it up to flip through a few pages. âYou seemed pretty pissed off. Iâm pretty sure the entire library heard you slam the book shut,â he said, obviously overdramatizing a little bit.
âNothing is wrong with the book.â Isobel repeated herself. If looks could kill, Hamish Holmes would be long gone already. When it came to her brother, confusion came over her very intricate mind. There were times when she despised him, but there were also times of softness and care. Balancing both came to be a true task at times. It was odd, it made her wonder if it was like that for everyone or if it was only her. But the feeling had been present for the longest time, it was no surprise if Isobel decided to be completely indifferent towards him out of the blue. She would always place herself first, if she needed to. Though, this time, she would let it pass. The closeness her brother brought was welcomed, though in a very strange way. âIâm not focusing hard enough, but Iâm afraid if I stare at it any longer my eyes will bleed. Donât you ever get that feeling?â Granted, sheâd been analyzing the book for hours now.
