GDS230 - Week 13 and… 14?

WAAAAAA, it’s the last week of the trimester!!!!!! There was so much needed to be done. I was a little anxious to stop working on this project. I worked pretty hard this trimester, I’m sorta amazed that I was capable of creating good content. I do have my Major Project to work on next trimester, but this project was going down a clear path.
The due date of the project got pushed back. So we had an extra 3 days to work on the project… That didn’t help us in anyway though.There were a lot of interruptions during the last day of the week (when the project was due) and our teacher was nice enough to push the due date. The interruptions being an electrical wire got burned so we were kicked off the floor then we decided to buy pizza from Coles and cook it in the oven on the current floor we were working on. BUT someone left plastic on top of the oven and the stove was accidently turned on. BURNT PLASTIC! We had to evacuate… Ye, great times lol
Ok… SO, what else happened this week?
I managed to finished the guard sprites. I made a total of 4 different guards, which was then implemented into the Unity project by David. David worked on building the sequence for Behind the Curtains/The Dadliest Catch. Those were the two quests merged together and are the last of the King of Thieves quests. The player is required to steal the keys and break out Dariod (Nerri and Jara’s father) from the dungeon, all while navigating through a maze!
On Friday I realised I forgot to make the maps of each town and city for the Maps tab of the Pause Menu I worked on for weeks haha. SO, I started making the maps and finished them all on the day. I waited until the end because people had not finish building the chunks of towns and cities. So the last week was a great time to remember about those o(´^`)o I really did enjoy making them though. I made them look more detailed then they should be, but the details represent the layout of each town and detail of the environment. I also made the Legend list.

I drew a purse (key item) for a mini quest in the Pocket Change sequence:
Ari, our art lead, finished drawing the over-world sprites of the lion AIs and Cuddles. I replaced the naked sprites on the lionine ai and changed the over-world sprite for Cuddles. They are no longer naked.
After this… I think I will make a post talking about how much I’ll miss this class and how the trimester finished. I’m just too tired! So, until then, byeee!
