Ever since episode four of GIGGS dnd I’ve been chewing on this idea, and I want to share, so here you go! Spoilers for GIGGS DND up to episode four
So as everyone knows, Mr. Wizard is Scars character, and it’s definitely not his real name. Every time he meets a new npc they call him a new name, and he’s clearly changed it multiple times. Mr Wizard is a very silly character, and he seems to take thing in stride and explain things as he goes. And when he meets the fae king during episode four, he just… folds. When the Fae King asked Mr. Wizard what his name was, giving two aliases, he speaks in the smallest squeakiest voice we’ve heard yet. He almost responds like a trauma vitctim, and while I would be able to forget about that, somthing he said to max really stuck out to me.
Max asked why it mattered if the fae king knew his name, and after a pause, Mr. Wizard responds in the same quiet voice, “there’s a reason names aren’t given freely max. In time you’ll learn that.”
I believe Mr. Wizard had his real name taken by a Fae, and because of that control, the fae made him do something terrible to his family. Scar alludes at the end of the episode that he wants to dig into the fact that Mr. Wizard keeps mentioning family, but doesn’t seem to have any. And I think he never told anyone his real name again because of this fear.
and that brings me to max. Max keeps cycling through names, trying to ‘guess’ Mr. Wizards real name.
And I’ve been thinking about the two of them, alone, and in passing max refers to him by one of those random names. But this time its not random. It’s Mr. Wizards name, his real name, and the last person to ever say it was that fae.
And Mr. Wizard is shocked, upset, and most of all scared.
”you got it.” He would whisper, staring at Max.
Max promised not to tell, and although he keeps cycling through names, he makes sure to use the real one, every once and a while.

I'm obsessed with Max Blunder, he makes a show of being so proud of himself to the point of being rude to other people, he acts like the kind of person you'd expect to be so self absorbed he doesn't care about other people at all, too caught up in his frivolous antics and ego.
But..Max chose to become a healer because he didn't want to see other people hurt, he heals with kisses (which if you put aside the "neck kisses" bit is sweet), he's a bit prone to messing things up when he doesn't take things seriously enough, but when Bro is in real trouble he rushes to his side, he subtly makes sure the people around him are taken care of when he can (something about max giving over the egg he wanted to eat to mr wizard the second mr wizard said he was hungry), he does backflips when people look at him seemingly because he wants to be liked and to entertain people.
I could go on and on, but point is, as much of a melon as Max can be, as much as his comments can offend people, as much as he might mess things up with his antics, Max is really quite sweet and well intentioned, and I adore him for it.
I love your artstyle so much????? Everyone is so expressive and squishy(?) and filled with motion and personality! Teach me your ways!
(Translation: I think the way you draw is really awesome and wanted to ask if you had a tip or two to share for someone trying to get better at drawing people? If not that's fine I just wanted to pop in and say you're cool :D)
(Also I don't think "squishy" is the right word but it's 2am and my mental dictionary isn't working right now bleh)
Yeah I could give some art tips!
There’s so many things I could talk about for drawing people, design, expressions, anatomy, but I think to keep the post not too ramble-y I’ll talk about posing! Posing is something I used to struggle with but really enjoy now :D
Here’s how I posed out and drew my quetzal Grian as an example!
Reference
First I find references! If I’m just drawing casually I won’t use references but for full pieces I use them all the time. And if you’re worried you might be “cheating” if you use them, you are not. Trust me as someone who works in an artistic field, references up the quality of your work while also expanding your mental visual library, it’s a win-win!
Here’s some examples of previous art I’ve drawn and their references:
I recommend using real photos if possible and not other people’s drawings, sports photography is a great place to get super dynamic poses!
Lines of Action
First I’ll start with a few lines of action, which are quick lines that describe the energy of the pose. Usually I’ll have two main lines of action, one describing the curve of the spine, and the other for the connection between the arms/shoulders, and then build the pose out from there.
During this stage I don’t really think about anatomy, the goal isn’t to match the reference, but to simplify and push it. Try to stay as loose as possible!
Form
After that I’ll start adding the form on top. I tend to section out the body like this so that I can imagine rotating different parts around in space kinda like a 3D rig or a doll in case I want to modify the pose.
This is also when I start making proportional decisions! Ratio-wise, I tend to draw my characters a lot shorter than the reference shows, with big hands, feet, and head.
If I get to this stage and the pose feels too stiff or similar to the original picture, I’ll take the warp tool and just wrench the pose into something more extreme XD
Clothes, Hair, and Wings
Adding clothes can be tricky for me because sometimes they’ll muddy up the lines of action I drew before. To combat this I try to give keep the clothing shapes simple so they flow with the rest of the pose.
After that I added the wings and hair (always on a different layer so I can warp them around lol). I base these almost entirely off action lines, I just kinda scribble till something looks right XD

Today I had a dream that pyroscythe won a poll against someone named Seline Paula Finland and said he was just a little sad that his fave lost when, quote, "she really should have won the whole thing." I have no clue who Seline Paula Finland is. I do not know anyone named Seline OR Paula. Please discuss amongst yourselves to find out what Seline Paula Finland's Minecraft skin would look like. I personally think her outfit has red and brown and some other colour i cant see and she has curly blonde hair but really she can look like anything your heart desires
Ok so I just finished playing Dispatch and I freaking LOVED it! Sooooo I thought it would be fun to combine my two current hyperfixations and make a Hermitcraft Dispatch AU!
Quick overview for those who have never played Dispatch:
In this AU Impulse works as a superhero dispatcher, someone who analyzes a team’s strengths and weaknesses and answers distress calls by the sending the hero most suited to the job. However, he’s been assigned to the Hermit Program, a team of former villains trying to become heroes. To say the least, it’s like trying to herd cats and the office and comm lines are always in chaos when the Hermits show up to work.
