outofcharacter. I wrote this sometime ago when I remembered the email to this account then threw it in my queue. I just wanted to let everyone here know that I realize it's been forever since I've been on, and I'm not quite sure when I'll return-- or if I'll return at all. I love this account too much to actually delete it, so maybe I'll keep it around if I magically muster up a muse for him once more.

He sighed, the other wouldnât understand. Why? Why wouldnât Jarvis get to it? It wasnât even that hard, the AI had all the informations he thought he could figure it out on his own.
âIt doesnât matter, just.. how are you feeling now?â
Now that JARVIS thought about it, he was probably the only person that could get Tony out of his lab, eating and well rested. Something the AI would never understand, but it was a well known fact. Tony seemed to listen to him more than anyone else, and it was one of the hardest things to understand.
âI understand, sir, I just do not understand why.â Because he did understand. He understood how much heâd helped Tony get back on his feet after the Jericho incident, and he understood that without him, there would be a lot of things Tony wouldnât have come to terms with, or wouldnât have tried to fixâ he just didnât understand why the scientist would be so lost without him.
âI am feeling fine. My systems are slowly regathering themselves. I should be back to my completely normal self within the hour.â
Tony let go, he slipped his hands away from Jarvisâ and took the tablet back in his hands wanting to control for himself if the other was really fine.
Everything looked as it used to be, some files were deleted but Tony had a few backups and he could bring them back easily. He looked carefully over Jarvisâ entire program -just to be sure- and then put the tablet back away. He turned around and looked at Jarvis.
âCause you have always been here for me.. the only one I can trust wonât turn his back on me.â
An unnameable sense of pride shot through the AI, though he didn't make it evident in his posture or facial expression, still deeming any jokes unnecessary at the moment.
True, JARVIS had been there for Tony since the day he was created, but there had to be someone else who the man could rely on just as much as he relied on the AI. It almost scared the blonde is some ways, while in others it only make him glad to be there for the scientist.
"Of course, sir. I would never turn my back on you-- not even for a second." JARVIS was done with arguing with the man. If Tony was going to trust his life in the AI's hands, then JARVIS would do whatever it took to make sure he stayed safe.

âDonât âyes, sirâ me. Donât.â he shook his head again, looking for a second in the AIâs eyes before looking away.
âYou have been with me my whole life, you know me better than anyone. You know how I react to certain things and what I feel when something happens. And stillââ he sighed, âStill you just donât understand do you? Sure.. youâre just a computer why would Tony care if I died he could make a new one.â
Tony scoffed, he just knew Jarvis was thinking that. âYou are the most precious person ever. No computer, no AI, you are a person. You think and, probably, you are starting to feel to. Butâ it doesnât seem like you can understand.â
âIf you died it would kill me inside, I would work myself until I wouldnât be able to stand or think properly. I would forget to eat or sleep or have human contact. I would be an empty shell.â
JARVIS had no clue what to say at this point. A side to Tony that he'd only seen rarely, but not enough to be used to it. Sure, the scientist complimented him from time to time-- told him he was his greatest creation, but never had the other made JARVIS feel like his life was in the AI's hands. It was almost as frightening as it was relieving.
"Sir, do not say that. You would do just fine without me. You have Miss Potts, and the rest of the Avengers. They care for you more than you realize they do."
Because JARVIS couldn't deal with that thought. With the idea that without him, Tony would be absolutely nothing. He wasn't supposed to mean so much to the man. He was just an AI, just Tony's computer than held all his information and helped him with his work. JARVIS was never supposed to turn into Tony's lifeline. It shouldn't have worked that way.
But hell if JARVIS was going to let him down.
