Hochstände Robert Götzfried
From the artist:
In my series “Hochstände” I went to the German forest to capture hunting blinds. The forest itself is something very quiet and peaceful but with the hunting blinds in the pictures you can almost hear the shot and barking dogs going after the deer. The addition of these hunting blinds turn it into a scary and brutal location.

Between the Trees Ellie Davies
What is a forest? Is it the trees or the space that exists between them?
‘A forest is what exists between its trees, between its dense undergrowth and its clearings, between all its life cycles and their different time-scales…A forest is a meeting place between those who enter it and something unnameable and attendant… Something intangible and within touching distance. Neither silent nor audible.*
These images explore the nature and meaning of ‘Forest’ by considering the experience of standing alone in the woods; the eerie and captivating sensation that time has slowed down and that the forest and everything within it exists in a different state. Somehow set apart from our usual perception of linear time the wind drops, the air cools, all is quiet and still and the forest draws in. To enter this other place is to accept a slowing of time and a shift in perception.

Moon Domicile Chris Cornelius
Check out this tumblr!
From the artist:
The Moon Domicile series are based upon the moon calendar of my culture, the Oneida Nation. Each new moon in the cycle signifies a new ceremony/ritual which is guided by an observation within nature. Some are about cultivating, harvesting, or restoring. This series of dwellings take on each of these moons and utilizes the associated month’s wind data – It is to suppose that the builder/architect of these has such a tacit understanding of this data it naturally manifests itself in the design. We are not sure whether that builder/architect is human, animal or other.
Each dwelling utilizes the data via form in unique ways. The context for each dwelling is not fully resolved, other than how it meets the Earth.
