Jace: 8 am classes are always a bad idea
“So I walk into my room and I’m rooming with two girls and no, that’s not the worst part because they are both great girls-” Axel took a sip from her martini, that she’d nicked from a bartender that was all but happy to serve her. “All three of us have shared the same guy. Seriously, it’s insane.”
“Wow, that’s... Interestin’.” Jace nodded his head and thought over that fact. “Like all of ya’ have dated him or somethin’? How did ya’ get to b-be roomies then? Isn’t there like a girl code rule against that or somethin’?”
I feel like taking a hike. Just thought i’d give a heads up in case I get eaten by the abominable snowman.
Well, how ‘bout I come with ya’? ‘Cuz he wouldn’t be able to catch us b-both.
“Now that I can finally drive a snowmobile on my own, it’s going to be hard getting me off of it.” she stated, twirling the key chain around her finger. “So, what do you say to a friendly race and some exploring?”
“Friendly race, huh?” Jace smirked at the challenge. He wasn’t the best on a snowmobile, but he wasn’t gonna turn the girl down. “Why the h-hell not.”
Trevor wandered through the lodge lobby, coming across a sign that read ‘MARTINI TASTING: TONIGHT’. He smirked, and looked at the person next to him, pointing at the sign. “Fuck a martini, but there’s no way I’m passing up a chance at free alcohol. Do I look 21?”
He read over the sign as it was read out loud and grinned. “Honestly?” Jace looked the guy next to him over. “Not really. B-But, hopefully people in here won’t really care that much.”

“Eh. Spider monkey has a much better ring to it.” she stated, a grin toying at her lips while she watched him swing back and forth. “How much have you had to drink because you look like you’re enjoying yourself a lot more than anyone here.”
I’ll let ya’ c-call me spider monkey just this once. [Letting one hand fall, he tried to concentrate on jumping between hands and leaving just a second where he had no hands on the bar. It was short lived once she captured his attention again.] I’ve had some. I dunno how much. But, it’s New Years. So, if I ain’t blackout then I ain’t doin’ it right.
“You having fun there, spider monkey?” she furrowed her brows, watching the boy carefully.
Spider monkey? [The Cole boy swung back and forth on the bar.] No, I’m Jace.
Be careful now, wild man
[Jace continued to hang onto the bar, looking down at Cherry.] Careful? Wh-What’s that?
Booyah!

“The two of us? Please. I’d get stuck teaching the girls who weren’t smart enough to use the time to hit on you. You know better anyways, I’d end up in the corner with a bowl, half assing my lesson until you got that look.” She said, recalling fondly how Jace never had to say much to voice concern. “Listen, it isn’t my fault your sister bought you comfortable shirts. Be honored I still have em.”
Jace rolled his eyes. “That look?” One of his eyebrows quirked up at the mention of it along with a wide grin. “I don’t know if I kn-know how ta’ do that look anymore. I’d probably just share the bowl with you nowadays.” That was a true statement. Most of his clothes were pretty comfortable. So, she definitely had a point. “Oh, I am. So very honored. Thank you for keeping them, Nova. It means so much to me.”
He wanted to become better, faster. He wanted to save more lives. He was good. And he was thoughtful and generous. And I think in the end, he was heroic and noble.
“We did good. Luckily only got snipped at once, but it was easy to say you were giving me a massage. It’s not like they could see..” She laughed, her red tinged eyes giving off her state of mind. “Still? I like that. Shows you’re smart. So yeah, if you ever end up in a pickle, I’ll be your person.” Nova started down the sidewalk. “Rookie. They need to give these girls a rundown on how to hook up without getting caught. These are important tricks to surviving life in Rosewood. We can go to my tree and I’ll find you a shirt inside the house. I think I still have a few of yours that I stole.”
Jace started walking just a moment after Nova and kept her pace. “Maybe we could teach a class or somethin’. It’s a vi-vital part of life here in Rosewood an’ I’m sure someone would pay good money for some lessons.” He laughed at the thought of teaching the class. “Huh. I wondered why half my wardrobe went missin’ after we br-broke up.”
