that was something that eros liked about jace– the fact that he always had a ‘coolness’ around him, even if at times it came across more as an awkwardness. there was a confidence there, fraudlent or not? it was nice. “aw, you’d miss me? you’re so full of it.” the giggle that chased his words was sunny and light before his nervous look twinkled back in his eye. oh boy was he nervous. this was probably the most ‘out of the box’ thing he’d ever signed up for, and yeah every bone in his body was telling him to make up an excuse to leave, but then jace might think he wasn’t cool. he had to be cool. “yeah!” he jumped eagerly at the offer of having a safe distance– a little too quickly, causing his cheeks to flush a brilliant vermillion. “we– we can hit it up. if you want. i’m good here. but a think a drink’d go down pretty well right about now, don’t you? i’m in the mood for something fruity.”
He gasped in mock shock “I’m full of it? Please, I’m such a nice dude” a brief pout later he was back to all smiles again, noticing the change of aura around Eros he laughed fondly and without really thinking, took Eros’ hand “C’mon then let’s get you a mixed fruit juice” he grinned teasingly and started walking in a certain direction, further away from the crowd, from the noise and blasting music and they made their way through a dimly lit alleyway towards a bar lit up in neon lights. “Not good with crowded places?” he asked, the teasing hint missing from his tone while earnest brown eyes turned his way. “I’m so taking you on a ride in my car. I’ve gotten it customized, fixed it up with all the good stuff. Gabby flies now!” he was gushing and amidst that gushing he had let it slip that his car’s name was Gabby and that yes, he had named his car. It hit him a few seconds later and he spluttered an embarrassed laugh “ uhh yeah, I ended up naming my car Gabby. Short for Gabriel. I know, I’m weird.”
