actually the more i think about it the more i hate the finale. and not just because jac died but because it felt like a run-of-the-mill sad episode and not a finale for a 23 year old show. where was the respect

It's true. :/ She was told Jac would survive and be cured, and then the show was cancelled and she was called in for a meeting and they told her Jac was gonna die instead (Bob had an interview yesterday or the day before where he said he thought they did that because without Jac people wouldn't petition for a reboot). She was ready and willing to move to Casualty, she wanted to play Jac for years more still and wanted her to have a happy ending. :(

tbh it sounds like bob was joking but i did see an interview with rosie saying she fought against jac dying which is so :// can they listen to her about her own character for once :/

yeah i didn't know how to say that and not maybe it obvious what was going to happen but it was the worst possible ending on literally every front and if you read rosie's interviews it gets a hell of a lot worse. she was in tears, when they brought her back they said jac would be cured. she said she could go to casualty. they killed her instead.

i honestly havent read interviews but if thats true then thats fucked up! the fact that rosie fought against jacs breakdown and her death and both times the writers/producers did them anyway.....

deadass holby seems to have forgotten they gave jac a possibly terminal brain tumour. but tbh she's barely there and had like no scenes with sacha and idk what they're doing with everyone else.

this is so funnyyyy i genuinely thought she already had her surgery or whatever and i just didnt hear about it but leave it to holby to keep this storyline going for way too long for no reason
