Sophiaâs hand automatically latched onto the arm that steadied her, her mouth formed an âoâ before she smiled faintly. âJack? Hey-â she said quickly. With her hand on his bicep and the fact that she had just smacked into rocklike muscle, she couldnât help but realise just how built he was. âYouâre like.. seriously solid..â she said, her hand still on his upper arm, and then as usual Sophia realised this wasnât really an appropriate conversation, and a pink hue filled her cheeks. âI mean, you have to be careful because you could totally poke an eye out with those things,â she over-talked, poking his bicep a few times before retracting her hand and taking a step back. â-aand Iâm going to stop touching you now.â the blonde added with an awkward laugh, focusing on his question and the fact that he seemed seriously distracted to try make up for her running mouth. âNo, actually Iâm just here for the regular,â she answered, deciding she definitely needed at least two more cups of coffee to get through this morning and the way it was going. âWhat about you? I know you refuse coffee any time I offer it so you canât be here for that.âÂ
Jack completely forgot why he was there the moment that she mentioned his refusal to drink coffee, his preachy health-conscious side taking over immediately. âCaffeine is rough on your body.â He stated instead of answering her question about why he was there. âYou know whatâs better than coffee? Six to eight hours of sleep.â His tone was teasing but it was true nonetheless, Jack guessing that her blind rush in the coffee shop was the result of not getting enough sleep.
