thierry-beliveau:
Thierry hadn’t realized it was the middle of the night; in fact, he barely remembered how he made it to his usual cabana on the beach. He wasn’t even properly clothed, wearing nothing more than a pair of boxer shorts. For some reason the night air wasn’t enough to snap him out of current state. Thierry felt an array of emotions with the dominating ones being lost and scared.
When Jack’s voice sounded against the crashing waves, Thierry was able to lift his head to make out his silhouette. He had been huddled in the cabana in a tight ball, crying his eyes out for quite some time. “Jack…” he managed to reply in a somewhat shaky voice. “How did…?” He blinked his eyes a few times in attempt to focus. “I’m scared…so I ran.” Perhaps a bad dream had sent him into flight. Often times it was difficult for Thierry to pinpoint the cause of his episodes. They just…happened.
Jack immediately noticed the tears on his boyfriend’s face and like clockwork he was taking his sweatshirt off and putting it over Thierry’s head before taking a seat and pulling Thierry into his chest, his hand starting to rub the other’s back in a slow rhythm. “It’s okay. I’m here.” He didn’t understand. He wasn’t sure he would be able to understand but he figured now wasn’t exactly the time to ask questions and if there was someone who was best at acting without thinking too hard it was Jack.
He tried to keep his breathing as steady as possible even if he was internally freaking out slightly. For once he knew he needed to be the rock here and if there was anyone he could be that for it was the man in his arms right now. “Just breathe for a minute. You’re okay.” He finally murmured softly.
