{ iām here! would anyone like a starter whipped up for them? }
It really shouldnāt have been a surprise to anyone that Noya had a hard time making it to most appointments with any sense of punctuality. Usually though it wasnāt a conscious effort to be tardy - whether it be simply getting distracted or being unable to find his shoes or the like - but it was often more of a shock if the libero wasnāt late. But the excuse this time would have been a good one he was certain. It would have been rude to ignore the two cute girls who were asking for directions right? He had to show what good students the volleyball club were surely?
The conversation had began to drag on a little after Noya had managed to get over his shyness while talking to the transfer students that he hadnāt even noticed the time pass, laughing brightly at a joke the shorter girl made. It was with their sudden silence that he blinked in confusion, starting to turn around as he heard the familiar voice whispering to him. Jumping in surprise with a loud curse - that had the girls blushing a little - Noya finally turned to properly address his captain,Ā āMake you wait? Iām not late yet am I?ā Oblivious to time as usual.Ā
āNishinoya...ā He didnāt have to look back at his watch to confirm how late the libero actually was, considering how often heād been checking it a moment ago.Ā Well... it couldāve been worse, at least he was here at the park. He had to give him that.Ā
Daichi shook his head and dismissed the notion.Ā āNo... not yet anyways. But weāll lose daylight at this rate.ā He turned to the two girls and bowed a little bit, excusing his intrusion.Ā
Ā Ā Ā ā really? hm. well i guess i never really thought about it. i was so EXCITEDĀ for my first day i kinda flew over here and then on my way back i was in shock over kageyama. so i got used to it.Ā ā if shouyo thought hard enough he could vaguely remember the straining effects of his earlier bike rides. however between practice and his commute it became easy and had a lasting effect on his stamina.Ā
Ā Ā Ā ā you get used to it i think! if youĀ did it every day iām sure youād make the trip just as quick.Ā ā
āSo thatās how it was?ā Heād completely blocked out the miles heād burned through. That was some stamina. Daichi somehow felt a bit guilty about the privilege living only so many blocks away from the school.Ā
āIām not so sure... the cold alone would be enough to do me in so early.ā He peered around through the vapor of the mist, just barley making out the trees surrounding the uphill.Ā āThough I bet itās a view if you catch sunrise right?ā
Ā Ā Ā ā Thatās too bad. Maybe if you did check the weather, you would be able to walk to the train station without getting soaked. ā Kuroo teased, pushing the umbrella open over himself and stepping into the rain.Ā ā Iād be willing to let you borrow mine if our teams have a secret practice match sometime soon~. ā
āPft, what exactly does that mean? Like an actual alley match? I canāt imagine actually playing next to a trash heap.ā He assumed Kuroo was just teasing him since it sounded like a hollow offer. However a qucik step later, and he invited himself under the umbrella.Ā āNot that we wouldnāt be up for taking you guys on any day.ā
He wasnāt kidding about his speed at all. He was almost as fast as Hinata. Yet when he spiked it. Itās like he was using that speed to back up his hit. He smirked.Ā āHow was that?ā
āIt was good! But donāt get too cocky, here comes the next one!ā His speed was impressive, Daichi noted winding up for the next one. This one was much faster with a bit of spin to it.Ā āHowās--THIS!ā

This had gotten a little out of hand. When Aoba Jouhsai came to Karasuno for a practice match a knee guard was left and naturally, being captain Daichi felt responsible making sure it ended up back into whomever leftās hands. However when he tried connect Oikawa for a time to come to the school to give it to him, the setter had just given the address to his vice captainās house. Who was apparently the one who left it.Ā
Ahh! Iwa-chan was looking for it too! Thanks for bringing it to him!Ā ć¾(Ā“ā½ļ½*)ļ¾ā That jackass. In front of the house of the right address, he sighed and hoped this wasnāt too weird coming all the way out here. Knocking twice, he waited.
Suga smiled and waved when he spotted the Captain come through the door. He cleared some of his books away to allow Daichi enough room to put his stuff down. He felt some of the tension melt out of his shoulders by just being in the mere presence of his best friend.
āItās no problem, you would have done the same for me. Yeah, I just finished it when I sent you that text. You can borrow it if you want, though Iām not sure how good it isā
āThatās true.ā He reached for the cup, stirring it as he peered over how much work Sugaād already finished. Thankfully Daichi himself didnāt have much to do since heād been cramming it somehow between practice and sleep. He grinned as he blew gently on the mugās surface.Ā
āItās alright. Not that I donāt trust your work, we both know whoās better at math. But I may as well do it since Iām here... I just need the page numbers.ā He assured him finally taking a sip of his drink.

It was hard to believe Hinata made this trip every single day, to and from no less. Normally the captain had no qualms with letting the first year make his mountain trip to and from school, but with the fog warning in effect it just didnāt feel right having him go alone.Ā
āHmm... Iāve been thinking... I donāt think I could bring myself to do this everyday.ā He turned to Hinata whoād been pedaling slowly beside him.Ā āItās truly impressive.ā
katakiyama:
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āSawamura Daichiā¦ā Katsumi repeated to herself then looked up at him with a smile on her face.Ā āIām Akiyama Katsumi, setter for the girlsā volleyball team here at Nekoma. Itās a pleasure to meet you.ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā She led him to a small cupboard in between several classrooms and opened the door to it.Ā āAlright⦠If someone found it, itāll be in here.ā
āItās a pleasure to meet you too Katsumi.ā Daichi nodded his head back to her. It wasnāt very often he found the time to meet new people outside of the teams he played against, so he was low key pleased with chatting with a fresh face.
āLetās see then.ā The captain began sorting through the bin, pushing spare pencils out of the way and trying not to bend papers. He stopped and pulled out a funny looking hot dog key chain and showed it to her laughing.

Go anon and pretend to be my character's child.
{ iām gonna take a little break to eat and finish this movie iām half way through but! if youād like a starter please like this post and iāll whip you something up when i get back! }
āNo problem Capt!ā,he was so ready he just tied his bandana on tight. He was in serious mode.
Good! This was the sort of enthusiasm he liked to see in players. Daichi waited for him to put on his bandanna, spinning the ball in his hand. When he was all set, he gave him a light toss just to test the waters.Ā āHere I come!ā
āIt is quite alright. We stay open later on the weekends, or when my father is here, but Iām still in school so I have to get home and do the household things and then my own home work. I apologize for any inconvenience!ā Honestly their open-closed hours varied. He hated it, but it was what had to be done.
Daichi peered around the book shelf to see where the voice was coming from, seeing a taller boy organizing books.Ā āNo thatās fine! Iām a student myself, so I can understand how hard it is trying to juggle a busy schedule.ā And he didnāt even have a job on top of all his responsibilities.
The setter smiled, that was Daichiās usual order. By now, he could recite most of his preferred drinks off the top of his head. He was glad that Daichi had agreed to order something though, he was going a bit crazy on his own. He placed the order and watched out the window while he waited, pulling his phone out to fire off a text.
[text: Dadchi] Stay safe :)
He rounded the corner to the store, spotting Suga easily through the window. The smell of the sweets and the freshly brewed drinks filled his senses as he walked in, and made his way through the other tables to where Suga sat.Ā
āHey, thanks for ordering me something. See you started on math already huh?ā
