i think i am off the mark with this and i can concede that the opera remark can be an indication of how popular culture as a whole views the fine arts at the present moment but regardless. it bothers me that we hold these celebrities in such a regard that it causes a universal monumental outrage when they say something that is just kind of mean or dumb. timothee chalamet can say whatever he wants he is not the arbiter of good taste hes just some guy with a job. you literally only make these people more famous by freaking out when they say some nonsense. they want attention and youre giving it to them. just quit

ok. first of all. no i do not believe everyone is just a little gay or just a little straight. i actually believe a very large proportion of people are completely heterosexual and i think that is just fine. second of all. it does not make you any cooler or more progressive to be bisexual or think that everyone is actually bisexual. you are not any more open minded than a gay person who is strictly gay. the idea that sexuality is "fluid" to the extent that gay people actually are attracted to the opposite gender (and may just not be open minded enough) has sort of long been conversion therapy rhetoric
