Another one??
“You don’t need to be nervous about the lawsuit. You are in the right when it comes to that and I am going to help you get what you deserve and should get.” She says to him with a smile on her face. She would help her nephew any way she could. Jordan was the best at what she did, so she would do the same as she would with every single case she had ever worked. “Are you taking anything for the migraines?” She asked.
"That's the same thing Lindsay said to me this morning over breakfast. The whole being in the right part. I know that the report she did for you was really long and that she took a few days to actually write it out. She offered to let me read it but it was way to medically technical for my brain." Jack gave a little chuckle at that. He nodded at Jordan's question. "Yeah. I'm still on Imitrex injections. My doctor thinks I'll be able to switch to a nasal prescription though within the next month. I still struggle with doing the injection myself and with Quin's new hours he's not always available to help me."
jordanreagan:
“Oh Joey looks adorable in her dress. Believe it or not, that used to be me when I was younger whenever I would get a new dress.” She laughs. “It’s every little girl’s thing is to twirl in a pretty dress.” She says. “Yeah I don’t want that. I know they worry about me as is but I don’t wanna add anything else to that.” She tells her nephew. “So tell me everything that’s been happening with you… I know we don’t get to see each other much but yeah.”
Jack laughed when Jordan did and nodded. “Annie said pretty much the same thing too.” He put his phone on silent once more and slid it back onto his pocket. “Everything is going to be perfect.” He gave a small sigh before he spoke again. “I’m doing better. Still dealing with the migraines and whatnot but even those are getting less severe. Or maybe I’m just so used to the pain that I just think that. I’m nervous about this lawsuit still too. Even though I know it’s the right thing to do.”
jordanreagan:
“Awe I know she’s excited and no I haven’t seen her in the dress.” Jordan says smiling at the thought of seeing her niece in her flower girl dress. It was crazy to think just how long it’s been and how long it took for Jordan to get to the place she’s in and FINALLY be happy. “I would love to see a picture of her in the dress.” She tells Jack. “I have to admit that I am nervous, but it’s the good kind of nervous, if that makes any sense.”
Jack immediately pulled out his phone and swiped through to some photos and even a video. He held it out to his aunt. “I took these the day Annie brought the dress home. She out it on Joey to make sure it fit perfectly. The video is her twirling around in it.” he nodded. “I think everyone would be concerned if you weren’t nervous though. It makes sense yeah. I was nervous this morning before my run, but I was also excited at the same time.”
jordanreagan:
Jordan closed the door behind them and she walked over to the couch and sat next to her nephew. “That is a big achievement. I’m proud of you Jack.” She tells him with a smile on her face and she leaned her head against her hand as she looked at him. “So, you excited about the wedding?” She asked. “I am more than excited and nervous because this is a big deal.” She tells him.
“Thanks. I’m still sorta on a high from it. As weird as that is.” Jack turned so he was facing Jordan slightly. He welcomed the distraction in talking about his aunt’s upcoming wedding. “I am. But not nearly as excited as Joey. Annie had to hide her flower girl dress away in the closet because she wants to wear it all the time. Have you seen a picture of her in the dress?”
jordanreagan:
“Hi Jack. How are you doing?” Jordan asks her nephew now turned client and she smiled at him. She was going to help her nephew win this case as best as she could. “Come on let’s talk in my office. Gonna do some catching up before we get to what we need to get to.” Jordan says to Jack as she turns to head towards her office. She tucked hair behind her ear as she played thru everything she needed to talk about and other things. She opened the door to her office and she said, “welcome on in and make yourself at home.”
“I’m good. I went trail running for the first time since the assault. Thomas came with me and I did great.” Jack was proud of the accomplishment. “He sent a video to Quin as proof.” He followed Jordan down the hall to her office. “Yeah sure ... it’s my day off so I have all the time in the world.” He took a seat on the couch that sat against the wall of windows and relaxed back into it.
Jack was nervous and he wasn’t even sure why. He was meeting with his Aunt Jordan at her office to go over his lawsuit against the hospital. Initially Aunt Erin was going to be his lawyer but as she had been the first person to arrive at the hospital she decided to be a character witness instead. Jack didn’t actually care which of his aunts helped as long as he didn’t end up working with a stranger. He trusted both of his aunts as well as Riley the most but he was also beginning to trust Nick, now that he was officially a client of the law firm.
Jack let out a sigh as he stepped off the elevator on the firm’s floor and looked around. His aunt was waiting for him, casually leaning against the reception desk. “Hi Aunt Jordan.” @jordanreagan
After months of weighing his options after Lindsay and Thomas had offered to pay for his post secondary education Jack had come to a decision on what he was going to do a few weeks ago. He had conversations with almost every important person in his life, and had taken the advice offered to heart. He was alone in the apartment now, with just the dogs, but he could hear the commotion of his dad, Annie, Joey and Maverick upstairs. Every few minutes his dad’s voice warning Joey to leave the basement door alone drifted down and Jack chuckled. His baby sister still loved to spend the majority of her time with him or Quin. She was 21 months old and always on the move. Jack loved spending his free time with her as she continued to discover the world around her.
Jack booted up his laptop that sat open on the breakfast bar as he passed on his way to the fridge. He was waiting on an acceptance letter from College of Staten Island. He had applied for their Communications Bachelor of Science degree program with a specialization in Design and Digital Media. The email was expected today and he was nervous. His laptop chimed with a notification to new mail and Jack brought his breakfast over and sat down on one of the stools. He clicked open the email on screen and opened the text app on his phone. He was telling Q before anyone else. He scanned the email and when he saw the positive response he let out a little cheer before he sent a text. {{txt Q - Accepted for the fall semester}} He wouldn’t start in-person classes until September but he could get a head start on some of the courses due to his disability and that meant that he could start as early as next week. The nerves from moments ago were now replaced by excitement as Jack started to fill out the admissions response form to send back to the college.
