My children have just shamed me about this dormant tumblr. Note that my children don’t even follow me, but still, they want to know why I haven’t posted any shirts in a while, so here we go. This is a cotton shirt from Pier One that I bought about a year ago. Conveniently, it doesn’t get very wrinkled in use or in the laundry, so usually I can just dry it on a hanger and don’t need to iron it. During corona times when I barely leave home, I’m usually wearing t-shirts, but when I do feel like buttoning some buttons, it’s often this lately.

This cotton shirt from Cool Blue Company has a floral pattern that looks a bit like an impressionist painting. Blurry little flower blobs. It’s very nice. Those of you paying close attention to this blog will notice that I’ve posted shirts from the same company two days in a row. I purchased these from the same store a few days ago. What can I say? When I find something I like, I just go for it.

This is a cotton shirt labeled “Cool Blue Company.” I don’t know anything about this company, but they do make some cool blue shirts! The material is slightly stretchy, easy to iron and very smooth to the touch. The pattern printed on this shirt is very eye-catching, maybe mind-melting and world-ending. I’m not saying that zooming in on this image and scrolling up and down quickly will open a portal to another dimension, sucking you into a vortex of chaos from which you may never escape, but I’m not saying it won’t, either. #worthatry

Sorted! Here at Jackshirt Labs, I recently spent some time going through shirts, sorting by sleeve length, solid/patterned, and by color. Also threw away a few that were getting worn out, or that have shrunk over time (I mean, surely I have not gotten larger!). I’m sure it won’t last long, but for the moment, this closet is looking pretty good.

Bought this shirt as Moss Bros in London. Would you believe I went all the way to London to buy this? I hope you wouldn’t, because it’s not true, I was there for other reasons. Anyway, good shirt, irons easily

This flowery little number came from H&M, and is a little stretchy, because it’s made from cotton, polyamide, and elastane, and two of those sound like high-tech miracles!

Floral print from H&M. This dazzled me from the moment I saw it, and somehow this is one of the cheapest H&M shirts I’ve ever bought. And it wasn’t even on sale!

Cotton shirt from Dressmann. There was a sticker on this shirt indicating that it didn’t need much ironing, and that seems to be true.

This cotton shirt is labeled "sqwear." One interesting feature of this shirt is that the buttons aren't round, they are squares with rounded corners. Another is that the outer edge of each sleeve has a notch cutaway with a small, decorative button at its apex.

This is a cotton shirt from NewYorker, branded "FSBN". It is covered with tiny sharks. I think I will name this shirt "sharknado" or maybe "shirtnado"

Here’s another Bläck shirt from MQ. It’s cotton. It’s floral. What else do you need to know?

This blue shirt is from H&M. The color is darker than it looks in this picture, closer to navy blue. It might look like denim, but it is not. It's a fairly thin and easily wrinkled cotton shirt.

I'm breaking with tradition a bit by featuring a t-shirt instead of a normal buttoned shirt, because this is awesome. From KappAhl's "Hampton Republic" brand, this cotton T features a huge floral pattern with pink highlights, and is probably too tight. Go, me!

This is another Strömberg shirt from KappAhl. Not much more to say about that.

This fancy Bläck shirt came from retailer MQ. It's quite nice, and also very tight. It makes me acutely aware of my belly whenever I relax, so I'm constantly sucking it in and puffing up my chest. Good or bad? I don't know

This is a Strömberg-branded shirt from KappAhl. I've got a few of these now. This one has a collar that is a bit bizarre, with what must be the shallowest tip angle I've ever seen. The sleeves are cufflink-ready, and feature nice snaps at the forearm, where there are usually tiny buttons. I think this is quite a nice feature, since sometimes those tiny buttons are really hard to deal with. All the Strömberg shirts that I've purchased so far have been on the sale rack at KappAhl. I appreciate the price, but I hope this doesnt mean they're discontinuing this line of shirts, because they're pretty nice.
