You guys know I love being naked in nature so I thought I’d share some of my favorite nude moments over the past few years in honor of naked hiking day.
One of my favorite things to do in the wilderness is to strip down, find a remote spot and lay in the sun. I allow the sun rays to beat down on my bare skin, darkening me slowly. I allow myself to release any perceptions of my body and to appreciate it simply as a vessel that keeps me alive.
This vessel allows me to breathe deeply and consciously. My hands have allowed me to build the van that I call home. My mouth allows me to eat yummy vegan food that nourishes my body. My eyes allow me to see towering mountains, crystal clear ocean waters and luscious jungles - and my legs allow me to explore them.
When I’m naked in nature, I feel at home in my body. I apologize to it for all the years I spent hating it and tearing it apart. I apologize for how much I’ve taken it for granted.
My body is unique, strong, gentle, capable and healthy.
