atsydnie:
She hadn’t thought much of it when she asked for him to bring her things. It seemed like the better option, the other being getting out herself, and that sounded like an unnecessary inconvenience. “Not exactly,” she called in response, rolling her eyes with a slight smile spreading across her lips.
“There’s a little pink bag inside of my other bag, and that’s the bag I need,” she explained, hoping that it’d become more obvious once he was in front of her things. She’d only brought one bag with her, trying to pack as light as possible, and it wasn’t like sundresses took up much room anyway. She was pretty sure that there was nothing worthwhile in the bag that he could find, even if he did rummage through things to be nosy.
She wasn’t sure what to expect for the week. Of course there were things that she wanted to happen, but she was still unsure about where things stood between herself and Rory. Though the kiss had changed things, it hadn’t at the same time. They never talked about what it meant, if it meant anything at all, so she wasn’t sure what he felt about any of it.
Obviously she felt something, but did she want things to change? She hadn’t decided. But there was definitely intentions behind her planning with Santana, and packing some of the things she’d decided to pack.
There was a long dramatic sigh that left Rory’s lips to Quinn’s denial, his shoulders falling despite the fact that she couldn’t see him. Instead of lingering on it, however, he quietly made him way over to her bag, repeating the instructions in his head. Pink bag inside of the bag.
That didn’t mean he wasn’t going to be nosy - it was in Rory’s nature, obviously, and the added permission for him to do so only encouraged it. He quietly started to ruffle through, all too familiar with most of the fabric he saw. He knew Quinn’s wardrobe well, but... he hesitated as his eyes caught on something that looked out of the ordinary, and after a minute he was lifting it up for further analyzing. It was a nightgown. Not a normal one, of course, but a piece of lingerie that Rory couldn’t help but feel intrigued by. It wasn’t like it was his business, but at the same time... there was a strike of curiosity, almost jealousy, that rushed through him. Was it meant for him? Or was it for someone else?
Or maybe he was overthinking things, like always, but now he was holding it out and his mind started to wonder off to images of her actually in it, and... he swallowed, finally pushing it back into the bag and reaching for the bag he’d overlooked a few times in order to search for other things. Slowly he rose to his feet, taking a deep breath as he stepped inside. “Hey. Is this the bag you were looking for?” He stood closer to the door way as he held it up, waiting for her to peak her head from behind the curtain before finally moving closer. Had he not seen what he had before, he’d probably been far more composed, but as of now he was sucking in a deep breath and holding it out. “Here you go, Fabray. You totally owe me for all my hard work.”
